What exactly is a shota? Well, the Japanese word shota is often used to describe a young boy, or a girly looking boy. This word is often used in the Anime and manga community to describe a girly looking Anime boy. For example, the Vocaloid Len Kagamine is often called a shota because he is a young boy who often looks like a girl. Some shotas are also drawn in girly clothes to make them look more like a girl, as seen in the picture below.
