It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about teru teru bozu dolls. I've talked about these before, but I really love these things. For those of you who don't know, teru teru bozu are Japanese dolls that are used to ward off the rain. They're hung up either outside, or by the window. It's common to see multiple of them, as well. Teru teru bozu dolls are heavily associated with rain, but they're actually hung up to get rid of the rain. However, some say that if you want rain, you can hang them upside down instead. It isn't clear exactly what they're based on, but they resemble little ghosts. They can be made of tissue paper, or fabric, and they're traditionally white. It's common to see them even now, so they'll occasionally appear in anime during rainy day episodes. They're a fun and simple craft, so they're a good way to keep children occupied on rainy days. As always, here's a picture of some teru teru bozu dolls from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid so you all can see what they look like. Enjoy!

Are life size Pokemon plushies too expensive? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! There have been life size Pokemon plushies for a few years now, but they always cost hundreds of dollars. Even though they are big plushies, they aren't that big, and they're almost all smaller than humans. A price increase for special plushies is expected, but not one this extreme. Charging hundreds of dollars for something like this is ridiculous, regardless of the quality. When these plushies were first released, fans expected them to be around one hundred dollars, give or take. But when the price was revealed, they were more than three times as much, sometimes more. This insanely high price tag does nothing but keep them away from fans, and it encourages them to buy the cheaper bootleg plushies so they don't have to pay for the name brand ones. There are life size Pokemon plushies out there that are much cheaper while still keeping the quality, which encourages fans to buy those ones instead. The Pokemon company may not care about keeping merchandise away from their fans, but eventually their fans will stop buying the expensive official merchandise in favor of the cheaper bootleg ones. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I wanted to talk about this because I genuinely believe the high price for these plushies is based solely on the brand alone, and not the actual manufacturing costs. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

What's the difference between mainline Pokemon games and other Pokemon games? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! There are a lot of different Pokemon games, but not all of them are considered to be part of the main canon. Pokemon games are divided into two categories, mainline and spinoff. Mainline games are part of the core series. They have lore, new Pokemon, a main protagonist, a rival, and all of the things you'd expect from a Pokemon game. Spinoff games are different. They're games that take place in the Pokemon world, but they don't have anything to do with the main story. These games are usually centered around fighting, adventures, or just interacting with Pokemon in different ways. They're fun, but they don't have anything to do with the mainline games. Some fans don't know the difference between these games, but it becomes a bit obvious after you play enough Pokemon games. After a while, it's easy to tell what will be a mainline game and what will be a spinoff game when it's released. As always, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

It's time to post! As of yesterday, Animal Crossing New Horizons received its first update in years. Although there have been a few bug patches, this is the first real update. A lot of articles have been covering this, but I don't think we should get excited just yet. It was announced that Animal Crossing New Horizons will be compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2, but this doesn't really mean very much of anything. There hasn't been any news for potential updates, or even the next game in the series. This recent update was just so the game would be able to run better on the Nintendo Switch 2. Nothing was patched or added, it's just a basic update for the new console. This is a bit disappointing, since fans have been waiting for updates for years. A few articles imply this means there will be new content added soon, but that wasn't confirmed at all. As of right now, this is the only thing that has been added to Animal Crossing New Horizons. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the problem with quests in Cozy Grove. This is a common problem I've seen a lot of fans complain about. That problem is: the quests that take multiple days. There's nothing wrong with a quest that takes a while to complete because you have to gather the materials, or because you don't want to do it yet. However, Cozy Grove doesn't have that. No, this game gives you a limited amount of materials per day, and filler quests while you're waiting for the actual quest. This means you have no idea what you'll need or how long it'll take. Instead of giving you a quest that could potentially take you several days to complete, it gives you days of multiple filler quests and then tells you what you need, which could also take days to create or collect. But wait, there's more! These quests are actually roadblocks for you receiving an item you need for a different character's quest. Which means you can genuinely take over a week completing only two quests. This wouldn't be too much of a problem if this game wasn't so focused on the story. Sure there are other things to do, but playing Cozy Grove is different from Animal Crossing because of the deep and complicated story. I think this would have been better if you got other quests while you were working on the main quest, or if you were given a quest that could take a few days instead of one that will always take a few days to even unlock. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I know a lot of other players have a problem with this as well, so I wanted to talk about it today. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Is Voltorb a haunted Pokeball? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! This theory has been floating around the Pokemon fandom for quite a while, but there hasn't been any proof of it. Since Voltorb looks like a Pokeball, a lot of people think it's just a regular Pokeball that's been possessed by a ghost Pokemon. Although this would make sense, I don't agree with this theory. Usually when something is possessed in the Pokemon universe, it'll often have the ghost type. However, Voltorb is electric only. It does have a lot of similarities with a Pokeball, but this may be a camouflage technique. Along with this, there isn't really any information about it being anything other than its own Pokemon. It doesn't seem to be haunted or possessed by anything, despite looking a lot like a Pokeball. There aren't really any similarities with any current ghost-type Pokemon, either. Even though this theory would make sense, I don't think it's the case. I'm not sure what Voltorb is or why it looks like a Pokeball, but I don't think it's a possessed Pokeball. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Why should otome games have customizable protagonists? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! The problem with otome games is immersion. With dating sims, a lot of people like to feel like the characters like them. But in a lot of the games, they have a set protagonist. So even when there are dialogue options, it doesn't feel like the characters like you. It feels like you're living someone else's life. This is a big problem for dating sims, since a lot of players want the characters to love them specifically, not someone else. Some of them get around this problem by making characters you can customize. A lot of players seem to like this, because it feels more like the characters like them. They also like games that don't show the protagonist at all, since it has a similar effect. I think otome games either shouldn't show the protagonist at all, or let you pick someone who looks more like you. These games are a way to escape reality, or live out fantasies. Making someone else the center of these things just ruins the whole point of it. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Hatsune Miku has been given new phone cases! More specifically, Caseplay has released their Hatsune Miku collection outside of Japan. Although Miku is once again the star of the show, there's actually cases for all of the Crypton Vocaloids. There's a large amount of phone case models for different phone types, as well. However, a lot of articles discussing this make it sound like there absolutely will be a phone case available for your phone model. I wouldn't count on it. They only have the more popular phone models from the more well-known phone companies, so I would recommend checking through the list of available types before settling on anything. I still think this is great for Vocaloid fans, I just wanted to be more realistic about it. There are other products, as well. But from what I can tell, Kaito and Meiko are currently only available on the phone cases. If any of you would like to see the collection of available phone cases and accessories, I will be including a link to the website below. Enjoy!

It's time to post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the official Ditto Pokemon plushies. For a while now, the Pokemon Center has been releasing Pokemon plushies with Ditto's face. These little plushies are made to look like a poorly disguised Ditto. Although most fans think they're cute, some of them think they're creepy. It may be a bit odd to see Pokemon with Ditto's face, but these plushies have been around for a while now. It's a fun little inside joke about how untrained Ditto Pokemon have trouble disguising their faces. A well trained Ditto can fully transform into anything it wants, but the lesser skilled ones will keep their Ditto faces. This is why the plushies look the way they do, and I personally think they're pretty cute and clever. As always, I will be including a picture of Ditto as Umbreon below so you all can see an example of what these toys look like. Enjoy!

Why are cute genderless characters popular in Japan? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Although it seems a little oddly specific, cute genderless characters are actually a subcategory in Japan. Things like the Pokemon Ditto or Gudetama the lazy egg tend to be more popular in Japan. But why is this? Well, it's actually because they're made without genders to make them more relatable. If something isn't specifically a male or female, it makes them much easier for people to relate to. Along with this, even some games do this with their protagonists so it's more immersive. I think this makes a lot of sense, because it makes it easier for people of all backgrounds to enjoy and relate with the characters. It also means the cute little characters can wear or do anything they want without anyone complaining. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! Since I've talked about things that bother me about Animal Crossing New Horizons a few times before, today I'll be talking about Cozy Grove instead. They're similar games, so I'd like to talk about the things that bother me in Cozy Grove as well. As always, I'll be putting it into a list to make things easier, and today I'll only be talking about three things. Now then, let's get on with the list! Enjoy!

1.) Daily quests. I love the storyline, but I hate waiting days for a specific item. Sometimes it takes a week or longer to get a specific item, especially if the items come from one character.

2.) Filler quests. Much like the last point, this one is really aggravating. I already have to wait days for an item, but now I also have to wait even longer because of meaningless fetch quests? They don't give you necessary items, they don't progress the story, and they just waste the daily quest.

3.) Storage space. This is usually fine. It's pretty easy to keep up with expanding your closet to free up your storage, as long as you only buy clothes from Mr. Kit. But what about the weekly wigs, or daily seasonal clothes? Now you've bought way too many limited edition clothes and you can't afford to expand your closet.

Why do the villagers sometimes say they're itchy in Animal Crossing New Horizons? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! During the warmer months, sometimes a villager will complain about being itchy, or having an itch they can't scratch. But why is this? Well, it's actually because the villager has a flea. You can even see the flea bouncing around on their head, and it's relatively easy to catch them. All you have to do is take out your net, sneak up on the villager, and hit them with the net. Then they'll thank you for catching the flea. The flea can be sold, gifted, and donated just like any other bug, as well. If you're having trouble finding a flea, it's much easier to just talk to your villagers and find out which one is complaining about being itchy. It happens relatively often, and talking to the villagers is the easiest way to tell which one is suffering from the itchy devils. As always, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! Are you getting sick of your ducklings in Cozy Grove? Are they getting in the way too often? Do you hate their quacks? Well, I have good news for you! If you're getting tired of the ducklings, there are ways around having them. Firstly, you can put their nests out of the way so the ducks don't wake up. They only wake up when you walk near them, so you can put them in a nice secluded area and let your ducklings rest. But if you'd rather get rid of them entirely, you can pick up their nests and store them away. Then, the ducklings will go with the nests, and they'll no longer appear on the island until the nests are placed again. A few players would rather be able to fence them in, but unfortunately that isn't an option. So, it's better if you let them sleep, or store them if they're bothering you. You can also avoid picking up or placing the nests altogether, since then the ducklings won't appear at all. I personally like the ducklings, but I understand why some people don't. So, I wanted to make this post for those who are tired of these little guys getting in the way. As always, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

It's time for yet another new blog post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about what it means when a game is inspired by another game. Many fans have encountered this. They find a game they like, try it out, and it's really similar to another game they've played. Some people see this and assume it's a rip off. But it's not! Being inspired by another game to create your own doesn't make it a rip off. Instead, it means the original game inspired someone to make their own game. There are similarities, but they aren't identical. These types of games will always have their own mechanics, characters, and stories. Along with this, the creator will often credit the original at some point if they were inspired by something else. There's nothing wrong with a game inspiring someone else, and there's actually a lot of creators who were inspired by others they looked up to. When a game inspires something new, it can create something amazing. Because of this, games that are similar to another bigger game shouldn't automatically be written off as a rip off, because sometimes the creator just really loved the original. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time to post! Have you ever wanted to eat a Ditto Pokemon? Well now you can! In Japan, an official Ditto food mold has been released. This cup mold is perfect for rice, fruit, and most importantly, gelatin. That means you can make an exact fruit flavored copy of this Pokemon. Although this may seem a little weird, I think it could be fun to make edible Dittos for lunches or Pokemon-themed events. This little mold comes in three separate colors, and can withstand quite a bit of heat and cold. However, it's currently only available in Japan, and it's unclear if it will be released outside of Japan. As always, I will be including two pictures of the Ditto mold below so you all can see what it looks like. Enjoy!

It's post time! Have you ever wanted to have Penny's backpack from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? Well now you can! This adorable Eevee backpack is being sold on the official Pokemon Center website. Whether you like Penny or just like her backpack, this item is very accurate and very cute. However, it is pretty expensive, with each one costing a hefty seventy dollars. Despite this pricetag, this recently released bag has already sold out! It can only hold a few small items, but it can still be pretty useful. I think this backpack is really adorable, and it's really accurate to the games as well. Even though it's sold out right now, I'll still be including the link for the official website below so you all can see what it looks like. Enjoy!

It's time to post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about what I dislike about the storage in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Animal Crossing New Horizons has one big problem: limited storage space. I like to collect things in games, and I love collecting the different kinds of clothes. However, I was very disappointed when the maximum upgrade still had a limit. The large amount of furniture combined with the large amount of clothes leaves no extra space. This means you can't have any doubles of anything, because you will run out of room. This limits creativity a lot, and makes it so you have to choose what to keep, because you can't keep all of it. This combined with the fact that you can't expand the rooms in your house means eventually you'll run out of storage space, as well as places to put new things. It's really disappointing, and makes the game even more tedious when you have to choose what to sacrifice so you can get new things. It's upsetting. If they're going to limit the inventory, I wish they would at least separate the clothes storage from the main storage. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's springtime in Cozy Grove! That means it's time for ducklings! These cute little quackers are only for spring, but I find them adorable. To obtain a duckling, or ducklings, you can find empty duck nests in leaf piles. Then, put the duck nest out in a safe area, and the next day an egg will appear. Next time you log in, the egg will be hatched! And then you'll have a cute little duck following you. Some players think they tend to get in the way, but I think they're adorable. They have cute animations, and it's fun to watch them go about their business. Along with this, hugging a bear when you have ducklings with you will cause the ducks to join in and nuzzle the bear; which I absolutely love. There are other parts of the spring events of Cozy Grove, but this is my favorite, so I wanted to talk about it. As always, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about Welcome Home. With the most recent spring website update, interest for this project has been sparked once again. Although this project isn't in any way connected to anime, it's somehow gained a lot of popularity even within the anime community. I always find it interesting when unrelated creations find their way into the anime fandom like this one has. For those of you who don't know, Welcome Home is actually based on puppets and muppets. It centers around the restoration of a fictional series called Welcome Home, and each new update for the project adds more clues to the story. I do recommend looking into it if you like colorful horror mysteries. It's a very interesting project, and I think it's amazing how it's even gaining fans from the anime community. For those of you who may be interested in it, I'll be including the link for the official website below. Enjoy!

It's time for another new blog post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the Stormy-Night Wall from Animal Crossing New Horizons. This wallpaper is very popular within the community, and a lot of players still look for it to this day. It's an animated wall with heavy rain and lightning, which is raining over a small cityscape at the bottom of the wallpaper. It's sold by Saharah, and it's available at her shop on Harv's Island. Although this wallpaper is fine on its own, many fans also make windows for it. Using customized glow in the dark stickers can actually allow players to make some pretty creative designs with this wallpaper. Many people love the look of rain, so it isn't surprising that this wallpaper has become so popular. I recommend getting it if you can, because it doesn't appear at Saharah's shop very often. As always, here's a picture of the Stormy-Night Wall. Enjoy!

It's Mother's Day! There are a lot of good mothers in anime that I could talk about, but it's hard to choose from the long list. So, I'd like to talk about the Pokemon world. There's quite a few good mothers in Pokemon, but the children in the Pokemon world usually take care of themselves, so parents of Pokemon trainers don't have to do very much. Instead, there are a lot of Pokemon that take care of the younger trainers. There are a lot of kind and gentle Pokemon who are amazing nanny Pokemon. Because of this, even young Pokemon trainers can go by themselves as long as they have a reliable Pokemon with them. This is pretty amazing, and some Pokemon even take on a parental role for children. So although they aren't technically mothers, this is why I decided to talk about this on mother's day. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post! Happy Mother's Day everyone!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about something that bothers me in Pokemon. There are a lot of adorable baby Pokemon, but then they evolve into things that aren't even close to cute. This bothers me quite a bit, since you can't keep a Pokemon from evolving if you want it to be strong. Because of this, there aren't very many cute Pokemon. It's really disappointing that there aren't very many cute final evolutions. It also bothers me because final evolutions are fully grown Pokemon, but there are a lot of animals that stay cute even as adults. Not every Pokemon should evolve into something big, tough, and terrifying. Sometimes things can just stay cute. I really think there should be more cute final evolutions, so fans don't feel bad about evolving their Pokemon. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about why I think there should be more sleepy Pokemon. Sleepy Pokemon are Pokemon whose designs are based on sleep, sleeping, or things associated with sleep. I think there should be more Pokemon like this because their designs are very unique. Along with this, they tend to be very cute. I don't think there should be more Pokemon who sleep all the time, but I think there should be more who are based on sleep. I know there are a few already, but there aren't very many. This is why I think there should be more of them, and I'd really like to see a ghost-type or dark-type Pokemon who is based on sleep. I think it could make for a very spooky design. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

What's the problem with cozy life simulator games? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! For those of you who don't know, life simulator games are games that let you build a virtual life. Games like Animal Crossing, Cozy Grove, and even Stardew Valley are usually accepted really well. They generally become popular, and even the lesser-known ones have a decent fanbase. So what's wrong with them? Although there's nothing really wrong, they do eventually get boring or tedious. Either you run out of things to do, or there are too many things to do. In Animal Crossing New Horizons, it's fun at first. But eventually the days become repetitive, and you'll run out of things to do. But in Cozy Grove, there's too much to do, and some of the quests take days to complete. There's never a decent balance between the two problems. Either it's underwhelming, or overwhelming. I do like life simulator games, but sometimes I wish there'd be a nice balance between things to do, and time off to enjoy the game. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Genshin Impact will be getting an important new update soon! Later this month, Genshin Impact will require American players to verify their age to make sure they're adults. This is a necessary step to prevent children from buying loot boxes without permission. If you don't verify your account in time, it will become heavily restricted and suspended until you do verify it. There's a chance they'll also need to do this with their other games, but right now only Genshin Impact will be affected. The verification won't be necessary until May 20th, so please be sure to check into Genshin Impact and verify your age after that date, and before July 18th. As always, I will be including the link for the official announcement below so you all can read it yourselves. Enjoy!

Why do so many fans prefer English subbed anime over English dubbed? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Anyone who's a part of the anime community is very familiar with the debate of subtitles over dubs. But why is this such an issue? Well, a lot of fans prefer subtitles because they're more faithful to the original Japanese. Along with this, it allows them to experience the shows with the original Japanese voice actors. However, that doesn't mean dubbed anime is bad. It used to be really unfaithful and poorly done. The words didn't always match the mouth movements, and the dialogue wasn't properly translated. But recently, it's become much better. The dialogue is translated more accurately, the words match the mouths, and they even get voice actors to portray the characters the same way as the original voice actors. Some companies have even been redubbing previously dubbed anime to fix past mistakes. Because of this, the debate of sub vs dub has recently started dying down, and now both are being accepted within the community. As always, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

Why are My Melody and Kuromi often seen together? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! If you're a Sanrio fan, you've probably noticed that My Melody and Kuromi are often together. This includes in animations, as well as on merchandise. This is because of a few reasons. Firstly, they were originally rivals. However, over time, they eventually became friends. Their designs also match well in opposite ways. My Melody and Kuromi are good for merchandise because Kuromi is rebellious and gothic while My Melody is sweet and cute. Because of this, they work well for making merchandise that features different versions of the same items. This works especially well for Lolita collections, since Kuromi can be gothic lolita and My Melody can be sweet lolita. A lot of fans have been wondering about why they're always together, but the answer is actually pretty simple. As always, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be listing five cozy ghost-type Pokemon, along with a picture of each. I'll also be giving a short reason for each choice, since cozy ghost Pokemon might seem like an odd topic. I hadn't listed Pokemon in a bit, so I wanted to list one of my favorite types. Now then, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Banette - Let's start this list off with the obvious, a nice little doll.

2.) Drifloon - Of course we need a balloon to add to the cozy atmosphere.

3.) Litwick - And here's some nice candlelight that isn't dangerous whatsoever.

4.) Phantump - Let's add a friend to keep us company.

5.) Sinistea - Finally, a cup of tea, that is definitely not cursed.

Why are life-size Pokemon plushies so expensive? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Life-size Pokemon plushies are pretty popular, despite the pretty big pricetag. But why are they so expensive? Although Pokemon plushies are always a little expensive, the life-size ones are hundreds of dollars. They seem to be of good quality, but there are other plushies of the same size made by different companies that are much cheaper. Because of this, I think it's just based on the brand more than anything else. Along with this, the Pokemon Center is pretty much the only way to get life-size Pokemon plushies. This means the Pokemon company can charge whatever they want, because they have no competition. I'm sure the quality of the plushies is part of the price, but it likely isn't all of it. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Is there a problem with popular anime? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Although it's a good thing when a series becomes popular, it can also be a bad thing. A lot of the anime series that become popular is made for older audiences. This is because the anime community is mostly made up of older teens and adults. Of course there's nothing wrong with this, since sometimes things are just for adults. However, it becomes a problem when children get involved. Children see a popular thing and they want to be a part of it, even though it's not meant for them. Usually parents would keep their children away from things until they were older, but a lot of parents don't do that anymore. This is pretty much the only problem when an anime series becomes popular, since that makes it easier for children to find and access. I personally believe the problem is more with modern parents and not with the anime community, but parents aren't going to change overnight. Because of this, I think a lot more websites that have anime for older audiences should be entirely age restricted. Eventually just adding a birthday won't be enough, since I've seen multiple young children saying they're just lying about their ages. But it's hard to keep them away from things like this when the parents aren't even trying, especially when it's becoming so easy for them to find popular anime series. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Is there ever too much merchandise? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! There are a lot of companies who create a large amount of merchandise for their media, and even Studio Ghibli makes a lot of merchandise for their popular movies. This is usually a good thing, since it lets fans get merchandise for their favorite characters or media. However, sometimes a lot of merchandise isn't a good thing. This is because some series prefer to focus on specific characters, and leaves out other less popular ones. There's also a lot of limited edition merchandise, which makes it much harder for fans to collect things. Sometimes merchandise doesn't leave Japan either, which makes it nearly impossible for other fans to get it. I think it's good to have merchandise, as long as it's accessible for other fans. It's really awful for anime fans when they can't get the things they like, and things like Twisted Wonderland pretty much never releases merchandise outside of Japan. It's good to have a lot of merchandise for fans, as long as it's balanced and accessible. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic.
