Is Voltorb a haunted Pokeball? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! This theory has been floating around the Pokemon fandom for quite a while, but there hasn't been any proof of it. Since Voltorb looks like a Pokeball, a lot of people think it's just a regular Pokeball that's been possessed by a ghost Pokemon. Although this would make sense, I don't agree with this theory. Usually when something is possessed in the Pokemon universe, it'll often have the ghost type. However, Voltorb is electric only. It does have a lot of similarities with a Pokeball, but this may be a camouflage technique. Along with this, there isn't really any information about it being anything other than its own Pokemon. It doesn't seem to be haunted or possessed by anything, despite looking a lot like a Pokeball. There aren't really any similarities with any current ghost-type Pokemon, either. Even though this theory would make sense, I don't think it's the case. I'm not sure what Voltorb is or why it looks like a Pokeball, but I don't think it's a possessed Pokeball.
