Do companies not care about their fans anymore? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Originally, companies relied on their fans to spread their products to other fans. They valued their fans a lot, and showed their appreciation. But now that the businesses are getting bigger, they're caring less and less about their fans. Games have less quality but higher prices, and fans are getting punished for making fan projects. Fan art, AI chat bots, animations, and other things are getting taken down in the name of copyright. Of course this doesn't apply to everything, but it's getting worse with time. Eventually fans won't be allowed to make anything anymore. This is a bad thing, because it drives away all new and existing fans. Nobody wants to be a fan of something that hates their fans. This is getting to be pretty ridiculous, and I can only hope the situation will improve instead of worsen. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time to post! Today's blog post will be about the game Super Long Cat. Super Long Cat is a pixel puzzle game where you collect milk and lost kittens. Collecting milk helps the cat grow, which adds more unique gameplay mechanics. The game itself isn't really anime related, but the trailer for it uses an anime art style. I haven't played this game, so I don't know if I can recommend it. But it looks interesting, and seems like a nice game that anime fans would like. So, I wanted to talk about it anyways. The game is available for $15 on the Nintendo Switch, as well. I don't have much to say about this game, I just wanted to talk about it. As always, I'll be including a link for the game page below so you all can check it out for yourselves if you're interested. Enjoy!

New day, new post! If you've been an anime fan for a while now, then you've probably been online for a while. Which further means you've probably seen or heard of Homestuck. This series was very popular for a long time, and it's still talked about to this day. It did eventually fade in popularity, but it's coming back with a vengeance now that a series has been announced. I won't get into the details, since it's not really anime related in the slightest. But many anime fans would be fooled, since it leaked pretty heavily into the anime community for a long time. This often happens with popular series. This one in particular leaked in because it was popular with teenagers and young adults who were often also anime fans. Anime may be more mainstream now, but it was originally seen as niche and nerdy. Because of this, anime fans often watched or read other lesser-known series like this one. I wanted to talk about Homestuck because it's making a return, so many people will be looking into it. Although it's not anime related, it was once part of the anime community anyways. I always find it interesting when things mix like this. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! Today's blog post will be about Akita Neru. Akita Neru is often mistaken for Rin Kagamine because they're both blonde. However, they're not the same. Instead, Akita Neru is a fan made Vocaloid. Her voice can be created using either Hatsune Miku's or Rin Kagamine's voicebank. Akita Neru is most well-known for the song Triple Baka, where she's featured along with Kasane Teto and Hatsune Miku. But, Akita Neru has several of her own songs as well. She's actually one of the only officially recognized fan made Vocaloids, and has even been included in Project Diva. She's often seen with a flip phone, and she has a boyish, aggressive, and tsundere-like personality. She fell out of popularity for a while, but has recently resurfaced as a nostalgic fan favorite. This is part of why I wanted to talk about her, since many newer fans don't realize she's actually a derivative and she doesn't have her own voicebank. As always, here's a picture of Akita Neru so you all can see what she looks like. Enjoy!

Crunchyroll has announced a new manga app! It's set to release on October 9th, with the web version being released later on October 15th. Top tier Crunchyroll subscribers will get access to this app without any additional charges, and it can be added to other subscription tiers. This manga app will have unlimited ad-free manga for all tiers, and the ability to download chapters for offline viewing. It'll be a separate app from the original app, as well. It will have light mode or dark mode, and it'll allow you to create personalized reading lists. This app will be coming out soon, so I wanted to talk about it before it released. I think it could help anime fans branch off into manga too, especially since it will likely have a large variety of series. As always, I'll be including the link for the official announcement page below. Enjoy!

Why are so many people unhappy about the Pokemon patent? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! A lot of people have been talking about this, and they don't like it. It seems harmless enough, and I doubt Pokemon will use it for most games. But it opens the door for worse things. Nintendo is greedy, and they've been getting worse with time. If Pokemon can patent a game mechanic, what's stopping Nintendo from doing the same thing? They could patent a lot of things that are in their games. For example, Mario has always been a platformer. What if Nintendo patents platformer games? Where does it end? What if they get so many patents that Nintendo is the only one who can make games? This is the issue. The problem is, Pokemon didn't invent the summoning monsters mechanic. But somehow they got the patent anyways. So what's stopping them from getting other things they didn't invent? This is why people hate this decision. It doesn't make sense, and it threatens other games. I hope fans are listened to so Pokemon loses this patent, but I doubt that'll happen. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

What's wrong with Japanese fashion? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! A lot of anime fans may have noticed that some anime characters, usually women or teen girls, dress much younger than they are. Occasionally boys will do it too, but it's usually femboys or feminine boys that do this. This is because dressing in bright youthful colors and outfits is part of Japan's cute culture. Because of this, even real life Japanese people can sometimes be seen dressing like this even while walking the streets. There's nothing wrong with this, even though other cultures think it's odd. In other places, people are expected to dress maturely once they've reached adulthood. But in Japan, fashion is more flexible; as long as it's on their own time. This is why it really bothers me when people complain about adults wearing cute clothes because they see it as "baiting". Sometimes people just like cute things, which is why Japan has an entire culture built around it. There's nothing wrong with it, and adults should still be allowed to enjoy things even as they get older; as long as they aren't hurting anyone. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about something in Fate/Grand Order that bothers me. For those of you who don't know, this game allows you to choose either male or female for your player character. This doesn't effect much, other than the character design, pronouns, and outfits. But I wished it had more of an effect on the game. Because the problem I have with it, is the flirting. Regardless of which you choose, the girls will be all over your character but the guys will avoid you like the plague. I understand that this game is marketed towards men, but women play it too. Either all of them should be interested, or none of them should. It is so uncomfortable to have all of the women in existence throwing themselves at my character's feet while the men hit on everyone else around my character. It really alienates anyone who's interested in men, whether they be men or women. They don't have to change the story, but they should at least make it equal. Why do all of the women flirt and none of the men? Even the ones who are supposed to be bisexual never make any sort of comments. It's really unbalanced, and I don't think I've ever seen a gacha game push away one half of the fan base like this. Usually they just allow fans to get close to whoever they want so they can go by preference. But this game doesn't care if you like men, because the men don't like you. It's women or nothing. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I've been playing through the events and stories recently and this fact just really bugs me. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! Recently Pokemon successfully gained a controversial patent, which I've already talked about in a previous post. But this brings up the question, why are they allowed to do things then? Why are they allowed to make rip-offs of things in the name of "expansion" and "merchandise"? They're being unfair hypocrites, especially since they're going through with their upcoming Animal Crossing rip-off game even though they've already been getting backlash for patenting a basic game mechanic. I don't care what anyone says to defend them; this is ridiculous! Pokemon has had issues before, with some fans giving up the series entirely because of it. But this is a step too far! Why do they get to rip-off other people when they don't want others using a basic function that they didn't even create? I've been a fan of Pokemon for a long time, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be held accountable. I think they should get rid of this ridiculous patent and just let people enjoy things for once. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

3, 2, 1, post time! Today's blog post will be about Sanrio characters. A lot of people know about the most popular Sanrio characters, like Hello Kitty and Gudetama. But there are a lot more than that! Sanrio has been making characters for a long time now, so there are a lot of characters to choose from. A lot of them have personalities, stories, and other characters they're associated with. So if you don't like the popular ones, you may like some of the lesser known ones. Along with this, even the less popular ones have at least a little bit of merchandise. Sanrio often brings back older characters to test with newer fans every so often, as well. Not only this, but they often make new characters too. Because of this, I recommend looking into more Sanrio characters than just the popular ones. As a little bonus, here's a picture of a Sanrio character I like called Cogimyun. Enjoy!

It's post time! The blog post for today will be about limited time servants in Fate/Grand Order. Fate/Grand Order, or FGO, often has limited time servants. These are servants you can only get during certain events, or from special gacha banners. They're only around for a short amount of time, and they aren't available in the basic servant list. Although there's quite a few limited time servants already, I think there should be more. There are some servants who either have to share a body, or who aren't in their proper form. Because of this, I think they should make separate designs for them as limited time servants. A good example of this is Kyokutei Bakin. A lot of fans were disappointed that he didn't get his own form, but was instead combined with a girl servant. They were upset that they were once again robbed of a male servant. So, I think it would be good for him to get his own temporary design. Personally, I think his story doesn't make sense anyways. Servants are supposed to be summoned in their prime, so he wouldn't be blind, nor would he need to be combined with a separate servant to be able to see. Especially since an event revealed that he can see on his own when separated. I think fixing things like this with limited time servants would be a good way to please fans without messing up the current situation. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about Obey Me Nightbringer. This is the second Obey Me game, which is a continuation of the first game. However, you don't necessarily have to play the first one to understand the story. I think this game was quite the upgrade. It has a lot more content, and the animation is a bit better. It has more voice acting and original songs, too. Although it's been a long time since I personally played the original Obey Me, I think Nightbringer is still a good game on its own. Even though it was made for pre-existing fans, it doesn't isolate new fans. It's also a very casual game, and it even rewards you for coming back after a long break. But be warned, you will still receive character messages while you're gone. It's easy to level up, get cards, and progress through the story, as well. There are a lot of extra things to do if you prefer variety, but you can also focus on the main story if you want. I really recommend this game, especially since it's free to play. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I've been a fan of the Obey Me series since the first game was released, so I may be biased. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about something that bothers me in Animal Crossing New Horizons. This isn't a major inconvenience, but it is bothersome. This is, the fact that custom items can only be taken right from the Nook Phone. This isn't a problem for clothes. Custom clothes can be chosen from the closet just like everything else. But equipment can only be chosen from the Nook Phone. This is a pain if you're trying to use a custom umbrella or anything else like it. This is because if you switch to any other thing, you have to go back into the custom section in the Nook Phone to get it back out. This makes it difficult to use custom things, since you often have to switch through equipment while wandering around the island. If it isn't considered an actual item, I wish it was at least possible to add it to the tool ring for quick access. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. It's a minor inconvenience, but it gets frustrating after a while. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Nintendo will be bringing back the Virtual Boy! For those of you who don't know, the Virtual Boy was Nintendo's first try with virtual reality. It ultimately ended up failing because the red laser lights caused intense eye strain. But with better technology, this could easily be fixed. Right? Well, yes, in theory. But Nintendo has decided not to fix it. Instead, they've made the same VR glasses that can now hold your Nintendo Switch, which will be used as the game screen. But they haven't fixed the games, they've decided to keep the same red graphics that caused the problem to begin with. The red color is part of what caused the eye strain to begin with, so switching it from lasers to a screen won't help as much as they're hoping. Nostalgia isn't going to overpower the abilities of the human eye. Really they should've just kept the graphics but added colors if this is what they wanted to do. They could've fixed the original problem, but it's Nintendo, so they didn't. Unfortunately I have a feeling it won't go over well this time either. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Why is Studio Ghibli so popular? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! I think Studio Ghibli is popular for a few reasons. First of all, it's been around for a long time now. It also has good stories and amazing animation. It has very unique animation that's immediately recognizable, as well. Many people have seen these movies even if they don't normally watch anime, too. Along with this, a lot of anime fans compare certain games or series to Studio Ghibli works, and these things usually have a very cozy and aesthetic feel to them. Not only this, but because the movies are usually seen as cozy, it's easy to compare them to other cozy things. Studio Ghibli has a very unique feeling, so seeing similar things immediately makes people think of those movies. I think this plays a big part in why Studio Ghibli is still so popular. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

What's wrong with The Pokemon Company trying to get rid of competition? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! It's only natural for companies to want to get rid of competition. They want the money, after all. But the problem with Pokemon doing it, is that they go about it the wrong way. Getting patents for specific things and suing other companies for making similar games is so ridiculous for a company like this one to do. Pokemon rips off other people all the time. Products, merchandise, even games. They copy others really often. They pretend to be innocent, but they're just as bad as the others. Instead of getting angry and throwing tantrums, they should be working harder to make better games and more unique things. If they don't want to lose to their competitors, then they should make it impossible for them to lose. Pokemon has been losing fans for a while because they aren't putting enough effort into their games, and because their merchandise is overpriced. If they don't want competition, then they should try harder. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Will there be a new Animal Crossing game? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Since New Horizons has been out for years now, many fans are looking forward to the next game. However, there hasn't been any news regarding any possible upcoming Animal Crossing games. This is likely because Nintendo is currently working on releasing other games that are similar to Animal Crossing. Animal Crossing is a popular series, so announcing a new game for it would overshadow anything else that will be similar to it. I think it's a little ironic that they're likely ignoring Animal Crossing to promote other similar games right after The Pokemon Company got such a ridiculous patent, but I digress. At the moment, no one knows if or when there will be a new Animal Crossing game, so all we can do is wait. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! A lot of anime fans like to eat instant cup noodles, and recently a product in Japan has been created to help with that. A small crab timer will soon be released to help people make cup noodles. It can sit on the lid to keep it closed, it has a built-in timer, and the claws can hold a fork or chopsticks. Along with this, when the timer is up, the crab's stomach will growl. It's a very useful little thing that was made just for this purpose. Of course, it can also hold other things like ladles, as well. I do think it's useful, but I kind of wish it was cuter and less realistic. However, I'm sure there are many people who would like it just as it is. It'll be released in October, and it will cost about twelve dollars. As of right now, it's unclear if it'll be released outside of Japan, as well. As always, I'll be including a picture of this crab timer below so you all can see what it looks like. I'll also be including the link to the product page, too. But keep in mind the page will be in Japanese. Enjoy!

What time is it? It's time to post! Today's blog post will be about Lily Of The Valley from Animal Crossing New Horizons. This flower is very rare, and it's a status symbol for a lot of players. This is because it only appears randomly once a week on the cliffs of islands with a five star rating. The longer you keep this rating, the more likely it will be for one of these flowers to randomly spawn. So the more of them you have, the better your island looks to other players. Even when you keep a five star rating for a long time, Lily Of The Valley has a low spawn rate. This just makes it even more special. Because of this, a lot of players really value this flower. Along with this, it can't be bought, grown, or bred. But if you keep your island maintained, you may get one randomly. As always, I will be including a picture of the Lily Of The Valley below so you all can see what it looks like. Enjoy!

New day, new post! Recently The Pokemon Company managed to get a patent for summoning things and letting them fight each other. This means anything like this can be removed by The Pokemon Company. This could have a big effect on games. However, I think this was petty and pretty lame. This is a ridiculous thing to copyright because games were doing it long before Pokemon existed. Not only that, but not everything with a "summon and fight" mechanic is a Pokemon clone. Any number of game companies could dispute this, and likely win; considering this existed before Pokemon did. They should've been more specific about it, since this just opens up the possibility of legal claims and expensive lawsuits. Patenting a game mechanic is already risky. But claiming one as vague as this is like trying to patent gacha mechanics. No one game invented it and no one is going to stop using it. The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have been getting really bold recently. And although I love Pokemon, I kind of do hope someone sues them over this just so they can stop feeling like God for once. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time for another new blog post! The blog post for today will be about G Fuel. G Fuel is an energy drink company that offers a lot of different anime and video game themed drinks, some of which are officially licensed. It's been a very popular drink company because of this, and a lot of its consumers are gamers and otakus. Because of this, it was pretty shocking when they recently released a farewell message. A lot of people were really upset and confused about this. This company has always done well, so it was more than just a little shock. However, there's nothing to worry about. G Fuel is just re-branding. They have created a new formula for their powder drinks, so they're saying farewell to their original formula. I'm sure they'll eventually fully replace all of their flavors with their improved formula, but as of right now they're only focusing on their popular flavors. I wanted to talk about this to hopefully clear up any remaining confusion there may be about this. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

What's the point of a nose drip in anime? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! A nose drip in anime is often seen as gross to a lot of people, but in Japan it's seen as cute. This is usually seen for children or sick characters, and it's used to show they have a runny nose. A character might have a constant nose drip if they're young or if they're sick often, as well. Personally, I really hate when characters have this. I think it looks pretty disgusting, and often ruins an otherwise nice character design. A good example of this is Daisy Mae from Animal Crossing. She's a child, so they gave her a nose drip. She's a cute character, but adding this was kind of a bad choice; since it's why a lot of fans don't like her. On the other hand, buying the nose drip accessory in Animal Crossing and having your character wear it when you're sick in real life is kind of fun to do. Because of this, I think it just depends on how it's used and if it's a constant thing or not. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. As a little bonus, here's a picture of Daisy Mae as an example. Enjoy!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about indie games. Indie games are games made by independent creators. A lot of them are free-to-play, or cheap. It's easy to find apps like this, but they're also often on Steam or itch.io. Indie games are usually visual novels, and they're often done in the anime art style. Although they're usually free, it's often possible to support the creators financially, as well. It's a good idea to look into these types of games, because some of them are really well done. They'll occasionally get popular, but there are some hidden gems too. Indie games can be really amazing, and they're a good way to pass the time. Along with this, the art for them is usually really well made. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

What's wrong with the villagers in Animal Crossing New Horizons? Although there's not much wrong with the villagers in general, their personalities aren't the best. They're very limited, and repetitive. The designs are really unique, and there are a lot of different villagers in the game now. But with the limited personalities, they're all just different versions of the same person. Along with this, the personalities that are available are split by gender. So, sometimes they don't match the villager they're given to anyways. For example, Sasha looks like a peppy villager. But since he's a boy, they made him a lazy villager instead. Because of this, if you want to make an island that has all boys or all girls, you won't experience half of the personalities. I think it's a bad idea to split them based on gender when there's already a limited amount. Not only does it limit creativity, but it just cements gender stereotypes. There can't be feminine boys or masculine girls because they're split by gender. Maybe most fans don't realize this, but I think it's silly. Regardless, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the problem with video games. These days, it's easy to find cheap or free video games to play, so even people with a low income can enjoy it. However, the problem comes with the things you play them on. These days, everyone is expected to have the latest consoles, the best phones, tablets, and computers. The problem is, not everyone can afford it. So even when the games are affordable, you can't play them anyways. There are a lot of games that need specific things to run, so even with brand new devices, you still can't play them. It's very frustrating for gamers who can't afford the best of everything. Games need to be playable to be enjoyed, and excluding people from playing them loses the companies money. I understand that consoles and systems need to be updated, but new things should be able to play games regardless of how much you paid for it. There shouldn't be a bunch of bugs or incompatibility issues. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

What time is it? Post time! The blog post for today will be about Paris and Taisui Xingjun from Fate/Grand Order. I don't often talk about more than one character at a time, but these two have a similar problem. They both look like girls, and children. But the problem is, they're neither. Firstly, Paris and Taisui are both boys. Secondly, although they look like children, they're not children. They both have their memories from adulthood. Taisui looks young because it's his standard form when he's summoned as a servant. He only looks like an adult in his awakened form, which he uses for his Noble Phantasm. On the other hand, Paris didn't have a choice. He looks young because Apollo chose his form without his permission. So although these two look young and are often treated as children, they're not children. And they're also not girls. As always, I will be including pictures of Paris and Taisui below so you all can see what they look like. Enjoy!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about Squeakoid gyroids from Animal Crossing New Horizons. These cute little gyroids are by far the most popular type. They're a bit rare to come by, but if you get multiples they can be customized. There are five colors in total, as well. They were introduced later in the game, and they gained popularity for their cute appearance. They look different from most of the other gyroids, since they're very cute, simple, and colorful. I personally love them, and I can understand why so many people have chosen them as their favorite. As always, I will be including a picture of a Squeakoid gyroid below so you all can see what they look like. Enjoy!

Is it wrong to like a character from a series you don't watch? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Originally, it was necessary for a fan to watch an anime, read a manga, or play a game if they liked a character. Even if they didn't like the series they were from. But these days, you can easily find information about characters you like. Because of this, it's easy to find characters you like without ever seeing what they're from. I think it's fine to like individual characters even if you don't like the series they're from. You shouldn't have to force yourself to like a series for one character, especially since there are clips and playthroughs available now. It's a good way to be a part of the community without fully committing. Besides, sometimes liking one character introduces you to your new favorite things. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! Today's blog post will be about my thoughts on Date Everything. However, even though I haven't personally played the game yet, there will be spoilers ahead. So proceed with caution! Before this game came out, a lot of people were looking forward to such a large dating sim. Until now, there's never been a dating sim with so many different characters. It was really amazing, and so many people were looking forward to it. But now that it's been out for a while, it has quickly started losing popularity. Why is this? It's because of a few things. Firstly, even though there's so many different characters, players end up only liking a select few. In trying to please everyone, the creators have made it so a lot of people don't even like most of the characters. Along with this, there's no reason to get attached to any of them in the first place; even if you like all of them. This isn't a dating simulator, it's an abandonment simulator. The characters you get to like you don't even stay in your life. That's right. Once you fall in love or become friends with them, they leave you. None of them stay. And apparently none of them want to stay either. Some of them even end up with each other or end up married to someone else. This is the worst possible thing for a dating sim. The name is literally Date Everything, but you end up actually dating nothing. None of these characters want you. It's so disappointing for a game that everyone had such high hopes for. Personally I couldn't believe it when I found out every character in this game just leaves you. It was a good idea, but it didn't meet expectations. I hope if the creators plan on making more games, it's not another dating sim. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about my problem with series focused on reincarnation. It's a common plot device. The protagonist dies and then comes back as a super overpowered child. It can make for a really interesting story, and it's a popular genre of anime and manga. So what's wrong with it? Well, the adult is now a child. This can create a lot of problems. Firstly, it means romance is entirely out of the window. They can't like adults because they're a child, and they can't like children because they're an adult. It makes a weird paradox where anyone involved is in the wrong. Along with this, they hardly ever tell anyone they are an adult. They keep all of their skills and memories, but everyone thinks they're just a really talented kid. However, it can be done successfully. For example, I really like That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime. It has a good story with a reincarnated protagonist. But he didn't come back as a child, and he doesn't act like a child either. He's just living his best life, and it's a really good story. It doesn't create any awkward questions, and it allows the adult to continue being an adult instead of cosplaying as a tiny prodigy. I'm sure there are a lot of good examples of this type of story, but I think turning the adults into children creates a lot of confusion and uncomfortable questions. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
