New day, new post! Since everyone has been talking about Pokemon Pokopia, I decided to watch the trailer for it. Now, I have some things to say. Firstly, everyone keeps saying it's an Animal Crossing rip-off. But it's clearly based on Minecraft. You can see the blocky areas in the background, and things you collect are blocks. It's still a rip-off, but at least get the game right. Secondly, I hate Pokemon's use of ditto in this! In the Pokemon canon, only dittos who are bad at transforming keep their ditto faces. The use of the ditto face is wrong, and it looks awful anyways. Realistically, a ditto copying a human should look like a normal human. Unless all dittos to ever exist suddenly can't transform properly. It bothers me so much. It was cute with the plushies, but now it's just aggravating. But all in all, this game looks fine. A Minecraft rip-off in 2026 feels kind of weird, but I guess they were trying to pick an older game so people wouldn't make the connection. And it worked, because everyone is saying it's Animal Crossing. I'm sure this game will be fine, but I already wasn't interested in it when they announced it would be exclusively on the Switch 2.
