Should a second season be made for Death Note? Although the Death Note anime ended in 2007, it's still a pretty popular anime. Many fans of the series still watch the anime, and some fans have only watched the anime. Even though the anime ended with the original manga, the One Shot that was released in 2008 was never adapted into an anime format. The newest One Shot has also reignited fans' interest in the series as well, and these One Shots have shown that the series doesn't have to follow Light Yagami to be interesting. The possibility for a second season for the anime is low, but a new Death Note series would be possible. A new Death Note series could follow one or more Death Note owners as they decide what to do with their new powers. Not only this, but it could still include familiar faces from the original series. However, the series' creators would have to be willing to continue the story in the first place; especially since most anime is based on the original manga. A second season would also have to depend on whether an anime company would be willing to pick it up, too. Although Death Note has always been a popular series, that doesn't necessarily mean a company would be willing to adapt it into an anime. But, these are mostly just my thoughts on this topic, anyways. It's hard to say if Death Note will ever even continue at all, especially since it took this long to get any more content for it in the first place. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post! As a little bonus, I will be including a picture from the new One Shot below. Enjoy!
