It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the movie Astro Boy. It's been a while since I've talked about this movie, but I wanted to give my opinion on it. It was released in 2009, and it's based on the original anime and manga. It isn't exactly anime itself, but I think the art style translated well. This movie is often forgotten or overlooked, or many people write it off because they preferred the original series. But I personally think this movie was good as a standalone film, but it was also good for an introduction to Astro Boy. They didn't change the design or personality of the main character very much, so people can very easily look into the original series afterwards. This movie was actually pretty good, and it does have a somewhat decently sized following. As an anime fan, I think they did a good job of capturing the feel of the original series while also updating it for a new audience. It's a shame that this movie didn't do well when it was released, and I hope it doesn't scare off anyone who wants to use the character again in the future. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I recommend this movie if you've never seen it, though. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
