Would the game Dungeon Dice Monsters be successful if Pegasus hadn't disappeared in Yu-Gi-Oh? Well that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! There may be a few spoilers ahead as well, so proceed with caution! Now then, on with the post! First of all, Dungeon Dice Monsters was a game invented by Duke Devlin in the original Yu-Gi-Oh anime. It was almost a successful game, but Pegasus had disappeared after the events of Duelist Kingdom. Because of this, he never had the chance to promote Duke's game. But would it have been a successful game? Although it was similar to the game Duel Monsters, Dungeon Dice Monsters was actually quite unique as well. The main difference was obviously the use of dice instead of cards. Even though Duel Monsters was already a popular game in Yu-Gi-Oh, Dungeon Dice Monsters may have been a good rival for it. It used familiar monsters with a different set of rules, so it would have been good for people who didn't like the already popular card game. Even though its real-world counterpart wasn't nearly as popular, this is only because it wasn't marketed as much as the card game. There's a similar problem in the world of Yu-Gi-Oh, where it was barely ever mentioned. Because of this, I think the game Dungeon Dice Monsters would have been a much more successful game if Pegasus had the chance to market it. Without any proper marketing, the game practically faded from existence. But, these are mostly just my thoughts on this subject. Nonetheless, I hope you guys still enjoyed this blog post! As a little bonus, I will be including a picture of Yami Yugi and Duke Devlin playing Dungeon Dice Monsters below. Enjoy!
