Twitter is playing Pokemon! That's right, someone has set up a crowd-controlled Pokemon Red game on Twitter! But that's not all. This special Pokemon Red game is being played as a Twitter profile picture. This profile picture is refreshed every 15 seconds, and the game itself is controlled by the most common inputs left by the participating Twitter followers. Although the game has been reset a couple of times to fix a few bugs in the program used for the game, the participants are still making quite a bit of progress. This project has already been compared to Twitch Plays Pokemon a few times, but I personally think it's rather different. The game commands are controlled by the most popular inputs, and the fact that the game is being played inside of a Twitter avatar makes it pretty unique itself.
