Will we ever get a new permanent Pokemon type? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! It's very rare for Pokemon types to be added to the series. When they are added, they're usually special types that are temporary for battles only. This is because adding a new type usually throws off the balance quite a bit. It changes game mechanics, and it changes the way current types interact with each other. Because of this, new types usually aren't added. However, there is a chance one could be added someday, especially since the fairy type was well-received when it was released. New types are usually added to fix an imbalance, or to add something new to the series. So, I think there's a good chance there will be more added in the future. Other fans have talked about this before, and I think it would be very interesting to see what a new Pokemon type would look like. But, these are mostly just my thoughts on this topic.
