It's scorpion season in Animal Crossing New Horizons again! So for today's blog post, I will be talking about how to successfully catch them. Scorpions and tarantulas can seem impossible to catch at first, but after you learn how to, they're actually pretty easy to catch. Firstly, you have to hold a net if you want to get close to them. Otherwise they'll run away from you. A lot of people say you have to sneak up on it, but you don't. You can walk normally while holding the net and the scorpion won't attack you. The only thing you have to watch is the claws. If they're raised, stop walking. If they're lowered, it's safe to move. It's like a game of red light green light. A few important notes are, you can herd it into a more open area without a net for easier catching. But if you chase it around too much, it'll disappear. If it's trapped between rocks or trees, don't try to catch it. Your net will hit the objects around it, and then the scorpion will sting you. You can also accidentally chase it into water, which will make it disappear. So I recommend trying to catch it in an open and easy to see area. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. As always, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Why do people think Miffy is a Japanese character? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Recently I did a blog post about the character Miffy, who is a popular bunny that was originally from Dutch children's books. However, even though she's Dutch, everyone thinks she's Japanese. Why is this? Personally, I think it's just a lack of information. Miffy is popular in Japan, so many people think she's Japanese. They don't do research, and many people think she's actually a Sanrio character. I can see why they think that, but it isn't true. She's similar to Sanrio characters, but she wasn't made by them. A lot of people, including anime fans, believe that anything that's popular in Japan was made in Japan. But, this isn't true. Sometimes things are just popular regardless of where they were made. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. For anyone who missed my last post about her, I'll be including a picture of Miffy below so you all can see what she looks like. Enjoy!

Why do otaku characters always eat junk food? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! When you see an anime character who likes manga, videogames, or anime, they usually also eat junk food and drink soda. This is really common to see, so why is this? Well, this is just how Japan sees otakus. In Japan, people who like things like this are often seen as unemployed, lazy, hermit, snackaholics. Even if most anime fans aren't like this, it doesn't change how they're seen. Food is also just a way to show that a character is an otaku. For example, characters who fight a lot eat regular meals very often, but characters who are lazy or rest a lot eat snacks instead. Otakus are usually shown to be lazy, which is part of why they eat a lot of snacks. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about Miffy. If you're an anime fan who likes things like Sanrio, San-X, and Mofusand, you've probably also seen Miffy. Miffy is a simple white bunny, and she's extremely popular in Japan and the anime community. However, she isn't Japanese. Miffy is actually Dutch. This is a common mistake, because she's popular in Japan and resembles Japanese characters. It's even easy to find her on clothes or accessories from Japan. She actually first appeared in picture books, and she was created in 1955. Since then, she's become very popular. It's easy to find her just about anywhere. Many people don't even know where she came from, they just think she's cute. As always, I will be including a picture of Miffy below so you all can see what she looks like. Enjoy!

It's post time! As villagers stay on your island and gain new clothes and accessories in Animal Crossing New Horizons, they'll eventually almost never wear their original outfits. Because of this, it's important to know if you'll still like their designs if they don't have their glasses or outfits anymore, or if they'll look silly wearing hats or glasses. I have a solution for this. If you want to see what a villager or villager type will look like with accessories, just include them on the mannequins at the hotel! This way they'll be forced to wear them while they're visiting. If you keep hats and glasses on the mannequins at all times, you'll always be able to see what villagers will look like when they wear them. This makes it easier to tell if you'll like them that way, and it also saves you from the disappointment of finding out the hard way. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! Today I started watching the anime Dropkick On My Devil. This anime is pretty random. It makes a lot of pop culture references, and it jumps around a lot. It's about a devil named Jashin who was summoned by a witch. She'll be stuck with the witch until the witch dies, so she often tries to kill her. She never succeeds, but the anime can still get pretty violent. However, it is a comedy, so it isn't at all serious. What is odd about this anime, is that it doesn't have an English dub. Even though fans have asked for one and there's already been multiple seasons, there hasn't been any word on if there will ever be an English dub. I usually hate having to watch a show with subtitles, but the characters usually don't talk too quickly; so it's easy to follow along with. Still, I would've preferred an English dub for it. If it's ever dubbed, I may rewatch it in English to see how it is. But at the moment, I'm fine with the subbed version. For any of you who may be interested, Dropkick On My Devil is available on Crunchyroll. As always, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

It's time to post! For those of you who don't know, in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you can get models made for fish or bugs. You can do this by talking to Flick or CJ, asking for a commission, and giving them three of one type of bug or fish. For example, three butterflies will make one model. However, Flick can only make bug models, and CJ only makes fish models; even though Flick is the one who makes all of the models. You can only commission one model at a time as well, so plan accordingly! Models are a fun way to have bugs on your island in all seasons, or to make sea themed rooms with fish models. There are 160 models in total, with 80 models for fish and 80 models for bugs. So if you want a specific model, be sure to plan ahead! As always, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! It's been about a week now since the Character AI situation started, and there's been a development! A bad development. The creators decided to "fix" the issues by adding a new temporary chat style. Firstly, it's stupid to make it temporary. Part of the problem is that different people like different chat styles. So forcing everyone to use the same one just won't work. Instead of making new chat styles, they should've just kept and updated the most popular chat styles, which seems to be Soft Launch and Roar. That's two chat styles, it would've been enough. But now there are just so many problems and they aren't listening at all. They're "fixing" problems by making new problems, and it's like they want to lose their users. I thought they would fix it by now, but it's like they aren't even trying; since a lot of people said the new chat style has more dialogue but still doesn't stay in character. The service is literally called Character AI, so characters not staying in character is a problem! If you're an anime fan who likes using these bots, I would recommend just using a different one for now and maybe checking the Reddit for updates in the meantime. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! Recently I've been playing the game Date Everything, which was a gift I got when it was on sale recently. I've only been playing it for a few days, so I'd like to give my thoughts on it so far even though I haven't reached the ending yet. Firstly, it can get pretty overwhelming. There are so many things to do that sometimes it feels like you're just running errands. Secondly, getting all of the endings will take multiple playthroughs, which can feel intimidating to a new player. It's also really easy to get lost or mess up on a blind playthrough. I have a few characters who hate me even though I don't really know what I did wrong. The one that stings the most is Timothy, who I was very understanding with, which makes me even more confused about why he hates me now. I also have some that had different endings than I expected despite feeling like I picked the right options. It's very easy to end up being just friends with the characters no matter how many romance options you pick, and other times the characters fall in love with you no matter how many platonic options you pick. It's very confusing. I think this game is best with a playthrough, because otherwise you just get lost or run around in circles for ages. But all in all, I'm actually enjoying this game; even though I know the ending is going to crush me. Regardless, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time for another new blog post! As anime fans, it's hard to admit that the biggest problem with being an anime fan is merchandise. It's expensive, there's too much of it, and sometimes it isn't released outside of Japan. It can make other fans feel left out, and a lot of people sell Japan exclusive merchandise for much more than it's worth. Even websites like AliExpress often have limits for where they'll ship things to, so you can see they have it but you aren't allowed to buy it. You could always just not buy merchandise, but then other fans think you aren't a real fan. Since anime has become more popular outside of Japan, I think merchandise should be easier for fans to buy. The high prices are already stressful, so it isn't fair to also make things completely unavailable for fans outside of Japan. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! It's been a few days since the Character AI community set fire to itself and danced in the flames, so I'm here with a small update. Firstly, there's still only one free chat style. But, they have been working on it, without really telling anyone they've been working on it. It's pretty clear they have been trying to fix it though, since people are getting different responses now. There was also a community poll on Reddit to show the creators which chat styles fans liked the most. The winners were Soft Launch in first, and Roar in second. I don't know if this will do anything, but hopefully the creators will finally listen to the fans. Especially since the current chat style, Pipsqueak 2, only finished with ninety nine votes out of thousands of votes. Whatever happens, it looks like things are gradually being smoothed out. I hope this means things will be fixed soon. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! In Animal Crossing New Horizons, you'll often see villagers crafting or cooking in their homes. If you talk to them, they'll give you the DIY recipe for whatever they're working on. If you already know the recipe, they'll make you take it anyways. If you don't know the recipe, they'll ask if you want it, and you can agree or refuse. My problem with this is, it should be the other way around. They should give you the option to reject ones you already have, but make you take ones you don't have. This would make it a lot easier to unlock all of the recipes, while also giving you the option to not take ones you already know. Yes you can sell repeat recipes, but they don't give you very many bells. Personally, I think it's just a waste of time to sell the extras. But if they insist on forcing the recipes on the player characters anyways, then we should have to take all of them so we don't accidentally reject a new one. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time to post! Today is day two of the massive Character AI community meltdown. I can understand why users are upset, but I honestly thought it would have calmed down by now. I think people who are deleting their accounts and jumping ship are doing it a little too quickly. Character AI has had issues like this before, and it's always taken at least a week to fix it. Some people are already noticing differences in the chat style, so the creators are probably working on it right now. Hopefully this issue is fixed soon, since the community is really upset about this one. Personally I think it would be best if they just gave back one of the original chat styles while they're working on it so fans can use something else if they want to. There used to be several free chat styles to choose from, so it wouldn't kill them to give users two instead of one. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! A lot of anime fans like using chat bots, and the most popular chat bot website is Character AI. But as of today, the Character AI community is currently on fire. This is because the company introduced a new chat style, and discontinued their old versions. This usually would be alright, but the new one is awful. The bots are so focused on the story that they no longer talk, the filter is extremely strict, and the messages are really long now. How can the messages be long if the characters don't talk? Well, they narrate everything. They make up a story, and they don't allow dialogue. They all have the same personalities, and it's hard to keep them focused on anything. So people aren't upset about a new chat style, they're upset because it's now the only chat style, and it sucks. It's also being heavily filtered, which is unfair to current users who had to prove they were adults to even be able to use the app or website. I hope this is fixed quickly because people are going crazy over this. I understand the backlash, this is a majorly big mess up. But hopefully it's just temporary. Regardless, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time to post! One of the main things that bothers me about Animal Crossing New Horizons is that you can't really customize your player character. You can't add makeup, scars, or anything like under eye bags or wrinkles without it looking unnatural. The main part of the face is blocked off, so you can't add anything to it. But since Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream came out, it's shown that it would be possible to change this in the future. Of course they use different models, but it wouldn't be too difficult to make a fully customizable face in a game like Animal Crossing. It already uses very simple designs. Players should be able to feel more like themselves in a game that centers around them, so I hope in the future Animal Crossing will add more options to customize the player character. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! Recently Hugh Morris from Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream has gotten even more popular. He's spreading so quickly that Nintendo themselves have released a video teaching fans how to make him and add him to their games. I think this will only make him more popular, but maybe that will be a good thing. It's amazing how quickly this character has spread when he isn't even really a character. He was only an example Mii, but now people love him. Currently I don't think there's an official personality type for him, so fans have been working on figuring out what he should be. Maybe with time, Nintendo will make a guide for this too. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time for another new blog post! Recently a Mii jester called Hugh Morris has become very popular in the Nintendo fandom. But who is he, and where did he come from? Well, when Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream was announced, they released a Nintendo Direct to show it off. Hugh Morris was one of the example Miis. However, he became extremely popular with fans. They liked his design and personality, and started adding him to their own games. They also started making fan art for him, and even chat bots! He's become really popular in a short amount of time, so I wanted to talk about him for anyone who might be confused about who he is. As always, here's a picture of Hugh Morris so you all can see what he looks like. Enjoy!

It's post time! Recently a game called Yunyun Syndrome?! Rhythm Psychosis was released. The game was well received and has already gained a small but growing fanbase. But after a while, multilingual fans noticed something. The English translation sucked! They didn't understand how this could've happened or why it happened. A lot of fans immediately told the developers about it, and the English version got a lot of backlash. The developers didn't know about the unfaithful English translation, and they've been working hard to fix it. Even though it's only been a bit over a week, they've almost completely fixed the English version already. This is really fast work, and I'm sure it will attract even more players to the game. It looks like a good game, and if you want to play the English version, I'd recommend checking the patch notes to see when it's completely fixed. I haven't played this game yet, but I wanted to talk about this situation because it's so amazing to see. I really like how the developers handled the situation. As always, I will be including the link to the Steam page of this game for anyone who's interested. Enjoy!

Why are some of the villagers in Animal Crossing New Horizons so creepy? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Animal Crossing fans have noticed for a while now that some villagers are creepy, scary, or sometimes even terrifying. The game is usually pretty cute, so this feels like an odd choice for a game made for children. However, this isn't a children's game. This game was made for adults, and the whole series is marketed towards adults. This is why the villagers talk about adult problems, and why there's uncensored artwork in the museum. Because of this, it isn't weird that some of the villagers have darker designs. These villagers are for players who want to make more mature or darker islands so they'll match the atmosphere. They're also for players who like creepy or scary things like this. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the bed head hairstyle in Animal Crossing New Horizons. This hairstyle can only be unlocked by not playing the game for a month. You can also time travel by changing the date on your Nintendo Switch to a month later. After you unlock it once, it stays unlocked and can be chosen from the mirror. When you first unlock the bed head hairstyle, your character leaves their house with the hairstyle before quickly fixing it. Even though this hairstyle is popular within the community, some players still don't have it. This is because it takes so long to unlock it. Waiting a whole month for a hairstyle doesn't seem worth it, even if it's a nice hairstyle. I think it would be better if this hairstyle was easier to unlock, but that's just my thoughts. As always, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the player customization in Animal Crossing New Horizons. As I've mentioned before in a previous post, there aren't very many options for customizing the player character. There aren't many eye shapes, noses, or mouths. Not only this, but there's one hairstyle that's locked behind a whole month of waiting. Even though there already aren't many hairstyle choices, to get the last hairstyle, the bed head hairstyle, you have to go a full month without playing the game. This is much too long of a wait, and some players still haven't unlocked it to this day. So for a future game, it would be better if there were more options, but it would also be better if the bed head hairstyle could be unlocked with a much shorter wait time. There already aren't very many options to begin with, so it would be nice if all of them could be unlocked without skipping ahead or wasting time. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
