Are Gulliver and Gullivarrr the same character? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! For those of you who don't know, in Animal Crossing New Horizons there are two seagulls who wash up on your beach occasionally. Their names are Gulliver and Gullivarrr, and they look almost identical. It's implied a bit throughout the game that these two are the same character. However, there are a few differences. Other than their clothes, they also have different eyes. Their pupils, eyebrows, and line art around their eyes are all different. The most obvious difference is the pupils, which are at different angles. Because of these subtle differences, some people think they're twin brothers instead of the same person; especially since they don't remember the player. If you meet either Gulliver or Gullivarrr first, the other one won't recognize the player until the second time they meet. Some people think Gulliver is just dressing as a pirate and playing a joke, others think he has amnesia, and some fans think it's a split personality situation. Personally, I think it would be kind of funny if there were just two nearly identical characters; especially since we already have the alter ego thing with a couple other NPCs. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
