Why is it bad for people to make fan-made Pokemon? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Although it isn't bad to make fan-made Pokemon, it actually can be in the long run. Fan-made Pokemon aren't official, but do lower the possibilities for official Pokemon. Basically, making a fan-made Pokemon almost guarantees that a Pokemon like that will never be official. It's a copyright risk, and making a design too similar to an existing one can be like plagiarism. Along with this, the Pokemon company can't just buy designs they really like. This will lead to more fans making more Pokemon in hopes that their design will end up in the series, and doing it this way would be way too expensive. Because of this, making fan-made Pokemon just lowers the chances for official Pokemon. So if you see a fan-made Pokemon, or evolution, that you really like, just remember that the possibility of ever seeing anything like it in the official series has just been lowered significantly. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
