It's the start of mushroom season in Animal Crossing New Horizons! Mushroom season is exclusively in November, and the mushrooms can be used for seasonal DIY recipes. Mushrooms grow at the base of cedar and hardwood trees, and they can even grow around stumps. There's also rare mushrooms, which can only be dug up from a dig spot. Only a few mushrooms spawn everyday, so it's a good idea to collect them whenever you see them. It's difficult to collect enough mushrooms for the fall items and recipes, but it isn't impossible. If you are having trouble, you can always get some from free treasure islands, or by asking other players for help. Since the spawn rate is so low, it's normal to have trouble collecting enough mushrooms for everything you may want to make. As always, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post, and I wish you all luck collecting mushrooms!

It's Halloween!! I know this is an anime blog, but I'd like to do something a bit different this year. Firstly, I'd like to list a few of my favorite animated Halloween movies. Then, I'll be including a link to an electro swing Halloween music mix. I'll also be including pictures of Skully J Graves and Swing from Twisted Wonderland, as well. I had some trouble finding a good picture of Swing, but I think the one I found is official; since it showed up multiple times when I image searched it. Also remember that since today is Halloween, you can trick or treat in Animal Crossing New Horizons until midnight. So, let's get on with it! Enjoy! Happy Halloween!!

Surprise! Have some candy!

Some of my favorite spooky movies for Halloween:

1.) The Nightmare Before Christmas

2.) Coraline

3.) Corpse Bride

4.) Frankenweenie

5.) Monster House

The electro swing Halloween music (Yes I'm including this because of Swing from Twisted Wonderland, who is cleverly named that because he's based on Oogie Boogie.): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgZfRiNmd3g&t=29s

Why is HiDive less popular than Crunchyroll? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Much like Crunchyroll, HiDive is an anime streaming platform, and it has exclusive series too. But a lot of anime fans don't subscribe to it. So why is this? Well, it's mostly because there's not a lot of content on it. A lot of anime companies would rather stay with Crunchyroll, which is widely known and has a very large amount of subscribers. All anime fans know what Crunchyroll is, and it has a lot of content to choose from. It even has manga and videogames on it now. Because of this, any competing anime streaming platform is going to have very big competition. I was surprised when HiDive started because I knew it would struggle. Many fans think it isn't worth it. I did subscribe to it for a short while after it first came out, but there was a very small selection on there back then. It's been a few years now, but anime fans still say the selection is small because Crunchyroll gets everything. This is understandable since Crunchyroll is literally the original anime streaming service. Before them, there wasn't anywhere for fans to legally watch a large selection of anime content. I do hope HiDive does well, but right now it's still not as popular as the original. As always, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

Why do so many good anime series go unnoticed? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! There are a lot of unknown anime series that are actually really good. However, they never become mainstream. Why is this? Most of it is marketing. Sometimes companies don't think a show will do well, so they don't spend money on it for ads. This is a big part of why shows go unnoticed. Along with this, sometimes anime fans will pass over it because it's similar to another show. Nobody knows what a show is like until they watch it, but nobody will watch it if they don't know what it's like. This creates an endless circle of anime fans refusing to watch new shows, which is also why so many go unnoticed. Personally, I think it's best to just read lists of new anime series and see what sounds interesting. That way you can discover new interesting shows without spending any money on it. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

What is and isn't canon in long-running series? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! In long-running series like Sonic, Mario, and Pokemon, things can start to get mixed up and confusing after a while. Because of this, it's hard to tell what did and didn't actually happen within the universe. So, I have a few tips. If it's a game series, then shows made for it usually are set in their own separate universes. This goes for comic books, too. As for what is and isn't canon in the games, usually only the mainline games are considered canon. Everything else is either "what if" scenarios, or just for fun. So if it isn't a mainline game, consider it its own universe unless the creators say otherwise. But what if the mainline games are confusing, like with The Legend Of Zelda or Kirby? Well, in those cases, it's best to think of it as happening in separate timelines. It's the same universe, but it happened in a different timeline. This makes it much easier. If a mainline game references a past game, then they might take place on the same timeline, or a similar timeline. This happens because originally, games were usually made to be contained entirely to one story in one game. That way, new games can tell new stories. But that complicates things after a while. This is why I wanted to talk about this, because it makes it all a little easier to understand. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the secret songs in Animal Crossing New Horizons. There are four secret songs in total. These are Animal City, Drivin', Farewell, and K.K. Birthday. K.K. Birthday is the easiest one to get, you just listen to K.K. Slider's concert on your birthday. But to get the other three, you have to request them. You can request one song at a time, and you request it by talking to K.K. Slider, choosing the option "give me that one song", and then typing out the song. The song has to be requested by its specific name, which means you have to capitalize it correctly, and Drivin' has to include the apostrophe. When you request it, K.K. Slider will act surprised, then he'll play the song for you, and put it in your pocket when the concert is over. I wanted to talk about this because some players still don't know that this is how you get these songs. Regardless, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! One of the most common complaints with Animal Crossing New Horizons is that it gets boring after a long time. So, I'd like to give some tips on how to keep things interesting. Along with this, I'll be listing them to keep things organized, as well. Now then, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) If you play with more than one person, you can play mini games. You can bury surprises, or use the gameshow items to play different games; like trivia games or games of chance. There are a lot of different things you can do with other players.

2.) If you have an island by yourself, you can make spare accounts to create more houses. You can use these houses for a lot of things! Things like shops, cafes, libraries, and even outdoor spaces.

3.) You can redecorate as often as you want. You can make seasonal islands, themed islands, or something completely unique. I'm not suggesting you fully reset your island, but you can fix it up or change anything you want at any point. Along with this, you can also make slumber islands if you do want to start from scratch.

That's all I have for now. I just wanted to point out that there are still a lot of things you could do if things are getting too stale. This game does have a lot to offer, even if you feel like you've done it all by now. Regardless, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

It's almost Halloween! Normally I would talk about new Pokemon pumpkin stencils, but it doesn't seem like they've been released just yet. But that's okay! Because there are a lot of ones to choose from already. Pokemon pumpkin stencils have been being released for a long time now, so there are a lot of different pumpkin stencils available. These stencils are free to use, as well. You just choose the stencils you want, download them, print them out, and then they can be used to carve your pumpkins for Halloween. You can choose any stencils they've released too, since they're all still available on the official Pokemon website. As always, I'll be including the link for the pumpkin stencils on the official Pokemon website below. Enjoy!

New day, new post! One of the biggest problems with modern anime is that every new anime is seen as a replacement for an anime that already exists. If it has parts that are similar to a different anime, then it gets compared to other older anime. New anime series are almost always seen as copies, replacements, or unoriginal. This makes it incredibly difficult to make new things, but it also makes it difficult for anyone to give new things a chance. If a more casual anime fan hears something like "this show is just [insert well-known anime] but with [insert difference here]", then they'll be less likely to watch it because they'll believe it's an exact copy of the anime it's being compared to. This isn't the case, but it's why so many anime struggle to take off. If we want more anime, then we have to actually give them a chance when they come out. We'd have more long-running series if we showed interest when the anime first released instead of begging for content after it's been over for years. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! One of my least favorite tropes in anime is when a character is small and cute, and then there's a time skip or they aren't seen for a while, and when they're shown again, they look completely different. I hate this for a few reasons. Firstly, I like cute characters. A lot of people like cute characters. This trope doesn't even exclusively happen to child characters, which makes it even more frustrating. It happens more often to boy characters, as well. There are so few cute looking boys in anime, and they almost always have them "grow up" and look completely different before the end of the series. They even do it to small adult characters, which doesn't even make sense. Along with this, they make the character look and act so differently that it's not the same character. People grow up, yes. But adults are already grown, and mid to late teenagers don't change that much by the time they're grown. It isn't a "glow up", it's a disappointment. I'm not the only one who feels this way, either. It's not weird to want a character you've gotten used to seeing one way to continue looking the way you expect them to. More points are removed if all of the other characters still look the same, and it's only the one childlike character they changed. That's just a targeted attack at that point. There are adults who look young and small, so there's no reason to do this in the first place. Along with this, since it usually happens to boy characters, it sends the message that men who look like this, short and young-looking, aren't attractive at all and you're the minority if you think they are attractive. This is why men have confidence issues. Because men who aren't traditionally masculine are seen as a problem to be fixed instead of just another man. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Why is anime always associated with videogames? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! When someone likes to watch anime, people usually assume they also like playing videogames; even though that isn't always true. So why is this? Firstly, it's just really common for anime fans to also like things like manga and videogames. It's so common that it's become a stereotype. This is because there are a lot of videogames that appeal to anime fans. Videogames from Japan usually also use the anime art style, so it's not a surprise for fans of anime to be drawn to videogames too. It's also common for anime series to become videogames, which blurs the lines even more. It's easy for anime fans to like videogames too, because anime and videogames are so closely related. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Why have anime fans started to dislike seeing romance in anime? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! It's become increasingly obvious that anime fans, usually don't want to see romance in their shows. So why is this? There's actually quite a few reasons. The biggest reason is that there are specific anime made for fans of romance. So seeing it being forced into an action anime is just annoying. Canon romance also ruins potential ships, and it can ruin the flow of the plot. Basically, if it isn't a romance, fans don't want to see it anymore. I understand why this is. I was also getting sick of seeing romance being forced into anime that focused on magic or fighting. It's just something that doesn't belong. I'm sure not all fans feel this way, but most fans do. That's why we're starting to see less and less anime series including romance in them. People who show up for fighting or danger, don't usually care about who likes who. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's spooky season in Hello Kitty Dream Village! There's still a bit of time before the events start, and the Halloween gacha only ran for a week in the beginning of October. So, it may not feel very spooky yet. However! There's new Halloween art for the loading screen of the game, and the entire town map has become spooky. So while we're waiting for the actual events to start up, this is a good warm up for Halloween! I won't be talking about the events until they actually start, but I wanted to talk about the new Halloween art for the game. Especially since the one for the loading screen has Lloromannic on it! As always, I'll be including a picture of the Halloween art below. But if you want to see the town map, you'll have to play the game for yourself! Enjoy!

New day, new post! In the first episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, it's mentioned that it's extremely rare for someone to reincarnate into the new world. Instead, they are either intentionally summoned there, or they accidentally end up there by crossing over unintentionally. If someone does reincarnate, they usually lose their memories and start over. This is a well-known fact in the fan base. So why am I bringing this up? Well, it's because I've seen so many fans make roleplays, chat bots, or original characters that are reincarnated in the same way Satoru Mikami was. This makes no sense! You can't just make everyone special because then no one is special! The reason Satoru Mikami is the main character is because his circumstances were unique. He reincarnated in a way that was extremely unusual for the world. There's not even a reason to make your original creations reincarnated, because most Otherworlders are granted abilities when they cross into the new world. Most of them are given gifts based on their wishes before crossing over. That isn't the part that's unique for the main character, the reincarnation and the way he was reincarnated is the unique part. Normally I don't care about things like this, but in this particular case it just bothers me so much. It makes me feel like the ones doing this didn't actually pay attention to anything that was said in the very first episode of the series. I know it was in the first episode because I recently watched it again. If they can't even pay attention to things said in the very beginning, then did they watch the series at all? But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! Since it's halfway to Halloween, I'd like to talk about a popular and long-running horror series. That series is, Castlevania. Castlevania has been around for a very long time now. The first one came out in 1986, and now there are over thirty games in the series. There's even been a popular anime series for it, and new games are still coming out often. The series follows a family of vampire hunters called the Belmont family, and in the games you often have to control one of the family members to hunt down Dracula. This series has always been very popular, even if you don't hear about it very often anymore. Since Belmont's Curse is the most recent one in the series, I'll be including a picture of it below. Enjoy!

It's time for yet another list! I enjoyed making a list yesterday, so today I'd like to list a few popular cute characters that aren't made by Sanrio. Everyone knows about Sanrio, so I'd like to list a few other ones instead. Along with this, I'll only be listing three this time to avoid repeating any of the companies. Companies like this often make several characters, and I'd like to only name one from each; even if the pictures may show multiple characters. I'll also be including a picture of each of them this time, too. Now then, on with the list! Enjoy!

1.) Rilakkuma

2.) Mofusand

3.) Chiikawa

It's time for a list! I haven't done a list in a long time now, so I wanted to do one today. For today's blog post, I will be listing five popular anime series that I personally like. Everyone's taste is different, so an anime being popular doesn't mean it's good. That's why I wanted to list some of my favorite popular anime series. Now then, on with the list! Enjoy!

1.) My Hero Academia

2.) Jujutsu Kaisen

3.) That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime

4.) Demon Slayer

5.) The Devil Is A Part-Timer

It's post time! Recently I talked about the new Disney Illuminis, which are light up bracelets that feature Disney characters. Currently there are only three, but I'm sure there will be more in the future. In fact, I'd love to see more in the future! They're very cute, and they remind me of anime mascots like Hello Kitty or Rilakkuma. I really like when Disney makes things like this. There's a lot of people who are fans of both anime and Disney, so making things like these new bracelets is good for both fans of anime and Disney, and regular Disney fans. As new Disney merchandise comes out, I look forward to seeing even more cute things like this. There's quite a bit of it available already because of Disney's Japanese branch, but I always look forward to seeing more. Regardless, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I wanted to talk about this because I really like seeing cute anime-like things like this from Disney, since I'm a big fan of both anime and Disney. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time to post! Even though the newest Pokemon starters were released a while ago now, they still aren't available in the official Pokedex on the Pokemon website. Instead, they're on the Winds And Waves website. This is to encourage fans to go read about the upcoming games instead. However, not many fans know about this official website. They do this with every upcoming mainline game, so it isn't very surprising. But I think it should be more obvious for fans who want to keep up with Pokemon game news. The Winds And Waves website is very professional and looks nice, but that doesn't really matter if no one can find it. It matters even less if no one knows it exists. So for fans who are having trouble finding information about the games and the new starters, I'll be including the link for the official Winds And Waves website below. Enjoy!
