New day, new post! One of the biggest problems with modern anime is that every new anime is seen as a replacement for an anime that already exists. If it has parts that are similar to a different anime, then it gets compared to other older anime. New anime series are almost always seen as copies, replacements, or unoriginal. This makes it incredibly difficult to make new things, but it also makes it difficult for anyone to give new things a chance. If a more casual anime fan hears something like "this show is just [insert well-known anime] but with [insert difference here]", then they'll be less likely to watch it because they'll believe it's an exact copy of the anime it's being compared to. This isn't the case, but it's why so many anime struggle to take off. If we want more anime, then we have to actually give them a chance when they come out. We'd have more long-running series if we showed interest when the anime first released instead of begging for content after it's been over for years. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
