Are new baby Pokemon necessary? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Although many people like the small first evolutions of Pokemon, they're often received differently when added to a pre-existing evolutionary line. This has happened with many Pokemon, and sometimes the additions seem unnecessary. Baby Pokemon like Pichu, Mime Jr., and Smoochum weren't received as well as some of the others. This is because they were added to Pokemon that either didn't evolve, or already had a full evolution line. These Pokemon obviously still have their fans, but many people don't even remember they exist now. That doesn't make them unnecessary, but they're often more forgettable than baby Pokemon that were there since the beginning. Since people are already used to the Pokemon as they were, adding a baby Pokemon to the line doesn't make much of a difference. On the other hand, adding a new final evolution often makes the whole line more popular and memorable. But, these are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
