New day, new post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the Dragon Ball Super Gallery. For those of you who don't know, Dragon Ball will be having its 40th anniversary this year. So to help celebrate, Shonen Jump has put together a super gallery. Every month until November, a redraw of one of the many Dragon Ball manga covers will be released. However! These redraws are created by other famous Mangaka. There are a lot of covers to redraw, so this project has already been going on for a while now. There are a lot of redraws already available, with the most recent one being created by Takeshi Obata; who is known for Death Note. Dragon Ball is a very well-known, recognizable, and influential series. It's the most common series to see, and it's known very well even outside of the anime fandom. Dragon Ball is one of the biggest and longest running series out there, so it's really impressive to see just how many Mangaka are coming together for the project. Is Near worse than L? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! But first! There will be some spoilers for Death Note. So proceed with caution! Disliking Near is a common theme within the Death Note fandom. Fans of Near don't usually like L, and fans of L don't usually like Near. Fans of the anime say Near is better in the manga, and his anime counterpart is usually disregarded. People say he's a much worse version of L, since he's more apathetic and childish. However, I disagree. I'm a fan of both Near and L, and I think they both have their own strengths and weaknesses. Near is good in the anime and manga, and many fans only look down on him because they were angry over L's death. The second half of the anime may have been rushed, but there are quite a few scenes where both Mello and Near shine despite their lack of screentime. The Death Note one shots also show how good of a character Near can be. Even though many fans like him even less after seeing how uncaring he can really be, I think it just shows how dedicated to his work he is. Near isn't completely uncaring, he just has a job to do. Near isn't worse than L, he just isn't L. I personally like seeing how much Near has developed over time; and he's slowly but surely becoming his own character away from L's legacy. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I just wanted to talk about this because there's still a bit of a divide between the Death Note fans even now. There's a new Naruto Shippuden pop up shop in Japan! Although that doesn't mean very much for fans outside of Japan, it does mean there's more merchandise! The pop up shop features six characters and a variety of new special merchandise. The characters are Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara, Kakashi, Itachi, and Deidara. Along with this, the characters are wearing new outfits for the event. Some long-time fans may know that I'm actually a big fan of Deidara, so seeing him being included was a pleasant surprise. It's unclear if this merch will be available outside of Japan, but I wanted to talk about it anyways. Why is the McDonald's M upside down? Why is there Japanese writing next to the logo? And why am I talking about this on an anime blog? These are all excellent questions! McDonald's is currently doing an official anime promotion that will feature actual anime shorts and manga chapters. Why are they WcDonald's now? Well, that's because that spelling is actually a pretty common way of more or less censoring the brand in various anime series. So, McDonald's became WcDonald's for the project. This is also why McDonald's is written in Japanese characters on the cups. This is a really fun little project that has confused a lot of people, and many anime fans are actually really excited about this project. It looks pretty well done, and the manga chapters and videos will be coming out soon. I wanted to talk about this because I actually think it's really cool, and the cups look like they came right out of an anime. It's time to post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about anime merchandise. The high prices of anime merchandise has become a common issue within the anime community, so I wanted to talk about it today. Although expensive figurines and other things have always been a part of being an anime fan, the other types of merchandise is quickly becoming unaffordable as well. Things like plushies and clothes are getting incredibly expensive, and it's becoming difficult for anime fans to keep up. This is a problem, because fans are the ones buying the merchandise. A hundred dollars for a figure kind of makes sense, but fifty dollars for a plushie is insane. Plushies aren't the only things that are fifty dollars though, since most hoodies and even some t-shirts can be this expensive as well. With the rising prices, eventually only the fans with more money to spare will even be able to afford to buy the merchandise, which will cause the prices to go up even more to meet the production costs. Of course fan-made products have always been a bit more expensive than official products, but that's because more work usually goes into them. But charging so much money for mass-produced products is such a bad idea because it'll lead to a loss of money in the long-run. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I just wanted to talk about this because I've noticed the prices of official anime merchandise have gotten pretty high recently. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Why does food in anime look better than real food? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Many anime fans believe that the food in anime looks better than real food, even when the food is recreated in real life. But why is this? Well, a simple explanation would be the color and presentation. Things in anime are usually exaggerated to look more appealing. Because of this, food is usually given a brighter color to make it look more delicious. Along with this, anime series that center around food or feature food often usually adds a type of filter and sparkles to make it look even better. So if a similar form of presentation was used for real food, it would probably look just as good as the food seen in anime. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Will we get different designs for Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper in Genshin Impact? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! But first, spoilers ahead! So proceed with caution! For those of you who don't know, the human designs of Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper were revealed for this year's Lantern Rite. But to the disappointment of fans, they were just modified NPC models. However, I don't think these are permanent for a few reasons. The first reason being Madame Ping. Although Madame Ping currently has an NPC model, she's also been shown to have a different design as well. Along with this, even Cloud Retainer referred to Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper's current appearances as a disguise; which could mean they don't normally look like that when they're in human form. Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper were trying to blend in when they were in Liyue Harbor as well, which could be another hint towards them normally looking differently than this. It would also be an odd choice to give two already established adepti such bland designs directly before introducing an adeptus named Fujin; who has a much more eye-catching and unique design. Adepti can choose what they look like too, so there's a good chance we'll get to see a different version of these two sometime in the future. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I just wanted to talk about this because I know a lot of fans are still kind of disappointed by this. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time for yet another new blog post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about Lilia Vanrouge's hair. Or rather, his hair color. It's a common belief within the Twisted Wonderland fandom that Lilia's hair color is black, and he adds the pink streaks himself. However, it's also mentioned that he sometimes changes his hair color based on his mood. Despite this, we've never seen him with anything other than pink and red. Personally, I would love to see him with different colors at some point. It would make sense for his character, and it would be pretty fun too. If Lilia does dye his hair, it would make sense for him to change it sometimes. But as of right now he hasn't changed it at all, and I think that's a little disappointing. Regardless, these are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I just wanted to talk about this because I think it would be fun to see Lilia change the color of the streaks in his hair sometime. It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about traps in anime. What is a trap? If you're an anime fan, you've probably heard this term used at least a few times. A trap is specifically a male character who is very feminine or ambiguous, making it easy to confuse them for girls. Along with this, the term "reverse trap" is used for girls who appear masculine or ambiguous. The term has been around for a long time, and one of the most well-known "traps" is Astolfo from Fate Grand Order. However, a trap of any kind is not a transgender person. The term isn't supposed to be used for trans people at all. Instead, they're usually openly male or female characters who just get mistaken for the opposite gender. I've personally never used either terms, but I figured I'd define it here anyways. Anime fans have been using this term less frequently recently, but it still pops up occasionally. It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about rodent Pokemon. There are quite a few rodent Pokemon in the Pokemon world. There are Pokemon based on squirrels, rats, mice, hedgehogs, and rodents in general. But because of Pikachu, most people consider all of them to be mouse Pokemon. However, I don't think this is a fair classification. First of all, Pikachu itself doesn't even really look like a mouse. Instead, Pikachu is just rodent-like. There wasn't even really a mouse Pokemon until Tandemaus. It's kind of silly to call them all mouse Pokemon when most of them aren't even mice. I do know Pikachu is called an electric mouse, but that doesn't mean every Pokemon that looks like Pikachu is also a mouse; especially since Pikachu isn't even really a mouse. In fact, most of them aren't. There isn't really a reason for this post, other than I wanted to talk about how strange it is for fans to call so many Pokemon mouse Pokemon even though they're just rodents. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
