How bird-like are the birds in Hatoful Boyfriend? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Hatoful Boyfriend is the series known for being a bird dating sim. However, the birds are more human-like than bird-like. They walk around instead of flying, and they even eat human food; with a few exceptions. The birds also wear clothes sometimes as well, and the birds of Hatoful Boyfriend are so human-like that they're even attracted to humans. Along with this, it's also implied that humans are attracted to the birds as well. Which is, a strange sentence. But I digress. The human versions of the birds we get aren't just so we can relate to them better, but they're also accurate representations of what the birds look like as humans. This is actually confirmed in the games, too. Okosan is the most bird-like bird in the whole series, and he's the only one without a human version. This means the birds are more human-like than bird-like. Of course this brings up the question of why they even had to be birds at all, but I personally think them being birds makes the series more unique and memorable. Most of the official artwork shows them in their human forms anyways, so it doesn't really matter one way or another. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic.
