Is there ever too much merchandise? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! There are a lot of companies who create a large amount of merchandise for their media, and even Studio Ghibli makes a lot of merchandise for their popular movies. This is usually a good thing, since it lets fans get merchandise for their favorite characters or media. However, sometimes a lot of merchandise isn't a good thing. This is because some series prefer to focus on specific characters, and leaves out other less popular ones. There's also a lot of limited edition merchandise, which makes it much harder for fans to collect things. Sometimes merchandise doesn't leave Japan either, which makes it nearly impossible for other fans to get it. I think it's good to have merchandise, as long as it's accessible for other fans. It's really awful for anime fans when they can't get the things they like, and things like Twisted Wonderland pretty much never releases merchandise outside of Japan. It's good to have a lot of merchandise for fans, as long as it's balanced and accessible. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic.
