Mimikyu is a very mysterious Pokemon who wears a disguise that resembles Pikachu, and it wears this disguise for pretty much all of its life. Mimikyu is also a very lonely Pokemon, and it believes that if it looks like Pikachu it will finally be loved. It is believed that you will be stricken by a mysterious illness if you see its true form, and the people of Alola believe that you should never peek under its cloth. Mimikyu's health will begin to fail if it is ever bathed in sunlight, so it prefers sticking to dark places. However, Mimikyu's true appearance is actually unknown. It is said that the scholar who saw its true form was overwhelmed with terror and died from the shock.
