Why did Yami only get a little bit of screen time in the movie The Dark Side Of Dimensions? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! There may be some spoilers in this post as well, so proceed with caution! Now then, on with the post! First of all, the ending of the original series made it seem like Yami wouldn't be making an appearance in the movie Yu-Gi-Oh: The Dark Side Of Dimensions. However, the trailers for the movie made it clear that Yami actually would be in the movie. But when the movie finally came out, Yami only appeared for a few seconds. So, why did the trailers even show him if he wasn't going to appear in the movie for very long? I personally think they included Yami in the trailers because they wanted the fans to think he would be coming back. Since he's a very popular character, I'm sure a lot of fans were looking forward to seeing him again in the newest movie. Although there was a good chance he wasn't going to appear for very long anyways, the trailers kind of gave fans of the series false hope. He probably didn't make a very big appearance because the focus of the movie was on the other main characters. The story would've been much different if Yami had been throughout the whole movie. But, these are mostly just my thoughts on this topic anyways.
