Are regional variants of Pokemon necessary? Well that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Although there are some really nice regional variants of older Pokemon, some of them are just recolors. Not only that, but some of them aren't that different from the originals. So, this brings up the question of if they're even necessary. The answer to this is, yes. Although they aren't much different from their original counterparts, they do add to the world of Pokemon. Not only is it fun to see what Pokemon look like in different regions, but it also adds to the lore as well. Since animals in the real world can change based on their environment, it only makes sense for Pokemon to change too. Not only this, but regional variants gives opportunities for pre-existing Pokemon to get redesigns. Along with this, some people even like the regional variants of Pokemon better than the originals. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
