It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be giving my thoughts on childish adult characters. This is a somewhat common thing to see in anime. There's a character who looks young and acts young, but then you find out they're actually an adult. A lot of people are bothered by this, but I disagree. There are people in real life who are like this, so I don't think it's fair to say someone doesn't deserve romance just because they're like a child. Having an adult who knows they're an adult end up with another adult is perfectly fine. Of course, people would still complain if they ended up alone, or if they ended up with someone exactly like them. You can't please everyone. But I fully support these types of characters, and I actually prefer it if an actual adult character is portrayed in media. Regardless of their appearance or personality, an adult who knows they're an adult deserves to be treated the same way as others. I love characters like this, because they're often an accurate portrayal of real people who are like this. There's nothing wrong with a childish adult, and calling them creepy or bait is just insulting to the real people who are like this. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic.
