What is mega evolution? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! The most recent Pokemon game focuses on mega evolutions, so I figured I'd talk about it today. I won't be going into the lore side of it, I'll just be explaining what it is. In simple terms, a mega evolution is another evolution past the final evolution. It's a temporary state that makes the Pokemon much stronger. Because it's a stage past the final evolution, it only works with fully evolved Pokemon. It's like a temporary second final evolution, so this makes sense. It can be used in battle to strengthen the Pokemon, and it can even change a Pokemon's type. It usually requires a special stone as well, and only certain Pokemon have a mega evolution at the moment.
