Is anime meant for kids? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! It's been a long-running belief that anime is meant for children just because it's animated. Firstly, this is a ridiculous assumption, since even regular cartoons have series that are only meant for adults. Believing that anything animated is automatically meant for children just exposes children to things they aren't ready for. There are anime series that are made specifically for kids, but it's up to the parents to know what those are. The majority of anime isn't made for children, especially the mainstream anime that kids will want to watch because they see it everywhere. There is anime that's safe for kids, but most anime is made with adults in mind. It's important to remember this because entertainment does influence how children grow, and anime with adult themes can really damage a child. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic.
