Why are Moomins so popular in the anime fandom? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Firstly, Moomins aren't Japanese at all. They're actually Finnish. Despite this, they became very popular in Japan. Eventually a lot of people started thinking they were Japanese, even though they aren't. There was, however, a Moomin anime that was released in the 90's. It's the most well-known adaptation of the Moomins, and it's also the most popular. People are still watching it even to this day. Even though the Moomins were never Japanese, it's easy to see why it's become so popular in the anime community.
