It's post time! In the anime community, it's common for only a handful of anime to actually gain any popularity. Because of this, newer or casual anime fans will want to watch these popular series before anything else. However, if something doesn't seem like something you would like, you shouldn't watch it just because everyone else is. There are a lot of other anime to choose from. Like older ones that may have faded into obscurity, or new ones that other anime fans aren't watching. There's so many to choose from now, that there's no reason to force yourself to watch something just because it's popular. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic.
