Did Yoosung romantically love Rika in Mystic Messenger? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! There will be spoilers, though. For those of you who don't know, Rika was Yoosung's cousin. He became very close with her as he got older, and after a while he became obsessed. After she was gone, he quickly turned on her fiance, V, and blamed him for everything. Once he met the MC, he began comparing her to Rika. The MC's kindness reminded him of Rika, but it's also why he started liking her. He confused his feelings and began comparing the two girls, thinking they were similar even when they weren't. He missed Rika so much that he saw her in the first kind girl he met. This made many fans believe Yoosung romantically loved Rika because he does romantically love MC. But, this isn't the case at all. Yoosung just respected Rika. He looked up to her and admired her. She was one of the kindest people in his life, and she was always so bright. Once Yoosung realized he actually loved MC, he stopped comparing her to Rika. Because he only admired Rika, and has even admitted to not having feelings for her.
