It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the original Gyarados design. Recently some Pokemon fans have been talking about the original concept art for Gyarados. The original design for this Pokemon is very different from the design we ended up getting. It looks like a completely different Pokemon altogether, and some fans have said we should get it as a new Pokemon; or as a regional variant. I personally think the original design looks a lot like a tardigrade; otherwise known as a water bear. I wouldn't mind seeing a version of this original Gyarados design sometime in the future, since it's actually pretty cool. Even if some people call it horrifying, we've gotten scarier Pokemon since this design was created.
