It's post time! Today's blog post will be about the weird ages in Twisted Wonderland. This may seem like an odd thing to talk about, but the ages in Twisted Wonderland have been bothering me for a while now. For those of you who don't know, the main characters of Twisted Wonderland go to Night Raven College. It's been mentioned multiple times that it is a college, which is why so many of the characters are 18 years old. It also explains why Leona is still in school at 20, and why Lilia and Malleus were allowed to attend even though they're much older than the other students. However, that doesn't explain why there are so many 17 year old students. It's rather odd to me that so many teenagers are going to college. Even if you overlook this, it doesn't explain why there are almost no older students. Of course this is somewhat explained by the game saying the seniors aren't in school, and are instead sent to go intern and gain experience when they reach their last year. It's also kind of odd that there are only four years of school available, which is much more like a high school than a college. With some of the characters it seems like they designed the character and then gave them an age afterwards, because quite a few characters act and look older than they are. But, this may just be a personal opinion. I just think it's odd that so many characters are young, instead of giving them more realistic and varied ages. This has been such a problem that some fans have to be reminded that they're in college and not high school. I'm sure this was to attract younger teenage fans, and it doesn't actually affect the game very much. I just think it was an odd choice. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time to post! Have you ever wanted to use Studio Ghibli pictures, but you don't know which ones you're allowed to use? Wouldn't it be easier if there was a convenient official website that provided you with the images instead? Are these questions oddly specific? Well if you answered yes to either of those two oddly specific questions, have I got a website for you! The official Japanese Studio Ghibli website not only includes all of the current Studio Ghibli movies and other works, but it also has a gallery for each one. These galleries include pictures from the movies, and all of them are free to use within reason. This makes including pictures from the movies much easier; and it allows fans to use the pictures for things like videos and social media posts. It's also just fun to see which pictures they add to the website. As always, I will be including the link for the Studio Ghibli website below so you all can check it out for yourselves. Keep in mind the website is in Japanese, but it can easily be translated with Google Chrome or a browser extension if you can't read the language. Enjoy!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the gacha rates in Twisted Wonderland. I've talked about the somewhat unfair pity system in Genshin Impact before, but Twisted Wonderland takes the cake. Twisted Wonderland has a pretty standard gacha system for their special cards. However, the pity system is very unbalanced. It usually takes 100 pulls to get a guaranteed SSR card, even though it's incredibly difficult to get enough gems for that many tries. The drop rates are also very low, meaning it's nearly impossible to get the card you want without skipping a lot of other cards. The pity doesn't carry over either, which means you have to start over every time. Sometimes the gacha gods pity you and give you that special SSR card that you desperately want, but that doesn't happen very often. Even buying gems doesn't help very much, since gems are split between paid gems and free gems, and buying gems still gives you a set number of paid and free gems. The standard shops only give you a set number of magical keys as well, and getting even one extra from the special mystery boxes is incredibly difficult. Gacha systems are never very fun, but seeing one as unforgiving as the one in Twisted Wonderland is actually kind of uncommon. Of course it changes for each game, but the one in Twisted Wonderland is especially frustrating. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

5.) Shikanoin Heizou

Heads up! Another new blog post is coming your way! Today's blog post will be a list of five visual novels. Visual novels are a very common type of game within the anime fandom, so I wanted to list a few of my favorites today. To clarify, these are games that are either just visual novels, or games that have visual novels included in the gameplay. They aren't exclusively just visual novels. Now that that's out of the way, let's get on with the list already! Enjoy!

1.) Twisted Wonderland

2.) Hatoful Boyfriend

3.) Obey Me

4.) Mystic Messenger

5.) Love Unholyc

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the new potions stand event in Genshin Impact. The event is called Alchemical Ascension, and it will be ongoing for the next six days. This event lets you run your own potion shop. Make potions, manage your shop, and buy helpful upgrades to make things easier. It's a very laid-back and easy event, and it's actually pretty fun. Occasionally there will be potion exams from Sucrose, as well as special potion requests from guest characters. This event is actually pretty addicting, and participating in it will reward you with a lot Primogems, as well as a special polearm. I recommend playing the event if you're interested in a cute little shop simulator; or at least for the Primogems. As always, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

What time is it? Post time! Today's blog post will be about Tighnari's voice in Genshin Impact. It's been a while since Tighnari got a new voice. As a Tighnari fan, I have been trying to get used to his current voice. Although I like the voice actor, I still can't get used to his voice. As it turns out, I'm not alone in this. Many Tighnari fans actually dislike his new voice. However, it isn't the voice they dislike. It's the line delivery. Tighnari was loved for his unique personality, but his new voice doesn't show it well at all. Even though the words haven't changed, the line delivery has. Instead of coming across as a sensible, mature, reliable, and occasionally sassy forest ranger, he now seems like a young and occasionally whiny teenager. In fact, many fans have been comparing him to Mika. Although I like Mika, he's known for being very timid and childish. Tighnari was the opposite of this, but his current personality doesn't at all match what he's saying. It's flat, and it's hard to like. Of course this isn't the voice actor's fault at all. Zachary Gordon is a good actor, and I'm sure he could do an amazing job if he was given the chance to. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I still hope they fix this someday, but they probably won't. It's very disappointing to see one of my favorite characters eventually become one of my least favorite characters. I like his voice, but the way it's used is so flat. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be listing five cute creatures from videogames; along with a picture of each. Anime-style games often have at least one cute creature, so I wanted to list a few of them for you all. Sometimes it's nice to just look at adorable little things. So, let's get on with the list! Enjoy!

1.) Honkai Star Rail - Wubbaboos

2.) Genshin Impact - Slimes

3.) Final Fantasy - Moogles

4.) Kirby - Kirby

5.) Twisted Wonderland - Tsum Tsums

What time is it? Post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about Princess Peach: Showtime. The game just released today, so I wanted to give my thoughts on the new Princess Peach outfits. Although I like the new outfits, I do have a little problem with them. Princess Peach has always been a very feminine princess. However, most of the new outfits aren't feminine at all. Of course, this isn't a bad thing. They look very nice, and they do suit her. However, it feels like it would make more sense for Princess Daisy. Princess Daisy has always been a tomboy to act as a counterpart to Princess Peach. But making Princess Peach less feminine changes the dynamic between her and Princess Daisy. Along with this, Princess Daisy is hardly ever featured; so this feels like a missed opportunity to make a game for an often overlooked character. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

3, 2, 1, post time! Today's blog post will be about Wubbaboos from Honkai Star Rail. Wubbaboos are adorable little astral spirits who love causing problems. They're very mischievous, and they like playing pranks on people. Along with this, they like to possess people for fun. However, they aren't deadly. Although I personally haven't played Honkai Star Rail yet, I love these adorable little Wubbaboos. So, I wanted to do a post about them today. As always, I will be including a picture of one below so you all can see what it looks like. Enjoy!

New day, new post! The blog post for today will be about Solaria. Solaria is a Synth V English voicebank made by Eclipsed Sounds LLC. Although she is often mistaken for a Vocaloid, she isn't one. However, she has been quickly adopted by the Vocaloid community. Solaria is based on a sun goddess, but her personality is left open to interpretation. She has been used by many popular Vocaloid producers now, and many fans have praised her for sounding very smooth and articulate. As always, I'll be including the link for the official website below so you all can see and hear Solaria. Enjoy!

It's time for another new blog post! Today's blog post will be about age gaps in anime. It's a commonly seen thing; there's a character who's 15 or 16 years old and they end up with someone who's hundreds to thousands of years old. This is excused by saying the character is technically still a teenager. To that I say, ha! And no. A lot of the characters this applies to aren't teenagers. They're just a creature that looks young but isn't. This can often be seen with vampires, demons, or things like that. There are characters that are much older that are still teenagers, but that's different. What's the difference? Well, it more or less boils down to mental age. Things like vampires stop aging physically, but not mentally. They have tons of experience being an adult, and they should see teenagers as children. A good example of this is Lilia Vanrouge. He's a fae, and is much older than he looks. However, he acts his age; and often calls the people around him children. Another good example is Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. The dragons may be hundreds of years old, but not all of them are adults. The ones that are young are paired with other young characters because they're still young. They just age slower than humans. A bad example of this is Diabolik Lovers. As much as I like the anime, it bothers me how young the main character is. The brothers are all vampires, and are much older than they look. Even if they act young, they aren't young. They have a lot of experience being adults, and the power dynamic all of them have is uncomfortable to watch. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I wanted to talk about this because a lot of people have a hard time understanding what the problem is with these things in anime. They think a young looking character is automatically a bad thing, even if that's not the case. It depends on the context, because sometimes characters really do just age slowly, and other times they've just stopped aging altogether. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's list time! Today's blog post will be a list of ten anime I haven't mentioned in a while. I've watched so many anime series now that it's hard to keep up with it all! Because of this, I forget about series pretty often; even if I really like them. So to make up for it, I wanted to list some of the ones I like today. Now that that's out of the way, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Assassination Classroom

2.) Noragami

3.) Fullmetal Alchemist

What makes something a Pokemon clone? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Many things have been accused of being Pokemon clones throughout the years. Things like Digimon, Dinosaur King, and even Yo-kai Watch. Anything with a "gotta catch 'em all" style is usually written off as just another Pokemon clone. However, I disagree with this. Many "Pokemon clones" are very different from the actual Pokemon series. If something has lots of different animal-like creatures that have to be caught so they can battle each other, it obviously is very similar. But, it isn't identical. As long as there's some sort of distinct difference, then a series will be able to stand on its own. It's fine to make comparisons between similar things, but writing off every new animal collection series as just another Pokemon clone is harmful to the series. It causes new potential fans to look past it without even giving it a chance, even though the series could be good. It's especially ridiculous when there are actual Pokemon rip-offs out there. I think every new series deserves a chance, and a series sharing elements with Pokemon doesn't mean they're trying to rip it off. Pokemon is such a popular and well-known series that it has inspired a lot of people now. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

3, 2, 1, post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about Ash being removed from Pokemon. For those of you who don't know, the Pokemon anime has decided to move on from Ash and Pikachu. After many seasons, movies, and years with the duo, they have finally been retired. Despite the fact that many fans joke about Ash's everlasting youth and sometimes even say they're sick of him, I think retiring him wasn't the best idea. Pokemon has been around for a very long time now, and many of the fans who grew up with it are still fans to this day. Taking away the only constant things of the entire series is bound to drive people away. I understand wanting to gain new younger fans, but you shouldn't drive away your old fans in the process. I personally think it would have been a better idea to age Ash up, or create a separate series away from him. The creators recently said that Ash and Pikachu are still out in the Pokemon world having adventures off-screen, but that doesn't really do anything for the fans. A lot of people were very upset about this decision. It's hard to say how long this choice will even last with so many people rejecting it. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I just wanted to talk about it because it's been a while since the first announcement of Ash and Pikachu being retired, and quite a few fans are still upset about it. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about a motorcycle from Toyota. If you're part of the Pokemon fandom, you already know what I'm going to be talking about. But for those of you who don't know, Toyota has created a real motorcycle that looks like the Pokemon Miraidon. This motorcycle is only a prototype, and it hasn't been confirmed whether it will be a real product or not. However, fans are very excited to see this project. It's very cool, and it looks nice and futuristic. Pokemon fans can't wait to get their hands on this motorcycle that may or may not become a real product. I personally think it's really impressive to see such a big project for Pokemon. As always, I will be including a picture of the motorcycle below so you all can see it for yourselves. Enjoy!

What did Beyond Birthday really look like in Death Note? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! But, there will be spoilers ahead, so proceed with caution! For those of you who don't know, Beyond Birthday is a Death Note character from the Los Angeles BB Murder Cases. The book describes him as looking like L, but he doesn't really look like this. It's actually mentioned that he wears thick layers of makeup to make himself look like L. Because of this, it's safe to say that he looks similar but not identical to L. If he has to wear so much makeup, he's likely not as pale as L. Many fans think he also has red eyes because of his shinigami eyes, which could be true; but it isn't likely because the red associated with shinigami eyes isn't really there. It's just added for dramatic effect for the viewer. There's a chance he looked vaguely similar to L and used that to his advantage. Or, he looks nothing like L and instead uses makeup, hair dye, and colored contacts to make himself look so similar. It's hard to say. However, it's only mentioned that he uses makeup, so he could naturally have black hair and dark eyes. I personally think he likely looks a little similar to L and decided to use that to his advantage. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I wanted to talk about this because Beyond Birthday's true appearance still isn't clear even to this day. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Today's blog post will be a bit more serious than usual. The creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama, passed away a week ago. I'm a bit late with this post, but I wanted to talk about it anyways. Although I don't watch Dragon Ball as much anymore, it was actually a pretty big part of my childhood. I feel like everyone has seen at least one or two episodes of the anime, and the series has been a huge inspiration for a lot of people. The passing of its creator is very tragic, especially since this year marks Dragon Ball's 40th anniversary. I don't have very much to say about this, but I still wanted to make a post for it. This is a major blow to the anime community, and I really hope the best for his family. Rest in peace Akira Toriyama, you will be greatly missed.

The second part of the Twisted Wonderland Tsum Tsum event is currently live! For those of you who don't know, the English server of Twisted Wonderland is currently holding the second Tsum Tsum event. This event will feature more Tsumsitter cards, as well as a story to go with it. These events feature in-game versions of the real official Twisted Wonderland Tsum Tsums. We already got one Tsum Tsum event a while ago, so it makes sense that the second part has finally arrived. Participating in this event gives you special Tsumsitter cards, and the event will be running for a few weeks. That may seem like a long time, but some Twisted Wonderland events can run for a while or take a lot of lessons to complete; so it's better to start soon if you want to participate. But, that's all I have for today. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time for another new blog post! For today's blog post, I will be listing six popular anime that I haven't watched. These are series that I either haven't watched at all, or that I've only seen one or two episodes of. There are a lot of anime series out there, and even I haven't watched all of the mainstream series. So, let's get on with the list! Enjoy!

1.) Dragon Ball

2.) Tokyo Ghoul

3.) Vampire Knight

4.) Attack On Titan

5.) Chainsaw Man

6.) Spy X Family

It's time for another new blog post! For today's blog post, I will be listing my five favorite non-human Genshin Impact characters; along with a picture of each. There are actually quite a few non-human characters in Genshin Impact, so I wanted to list my favorite ones today. Minus the traveler of course, since it isn't clear what they are. 3.) Scaramouche

4.) Arataki Itto

5.) Albedo

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the Mega Construx Pokemon Pokeball. This little toy is a building set, and it comes in a Pokeball. Each set has one Pokemon in it. After opening the Pokeball, you'll find a bunch of little pieces to build your Pokemon. The build is very easy, unless you keep accidentally popping the tiny legs off of your Pikachu like I did. It doesn't come with very many pieces, but it's still pretty fun. It's similar to Legos, and you can even display your little Pokemon on top of the Pokeball when you're done. Each set comes with a Pokemon, instructions, and a little sheet that shows the other Pokemon you can buy. These are not mystery boxes or anything like that, and you can clearly see which Pokemon you'll be getting. I personally prefer it this way, since it makes it a lot easier. These little kits cost between $15 and $20 each, depending on which one you buy. As always, I will be including a picture of the Pikachu one below. Enjoy!

Saturday, March 2, 2024

It's time for a list! For today's blog post, I will be listing three yokai from Yo-kai Watch; along with a picture of each. I haven't talked about Yo-kai Watch in a long time, so I decided to list a few today. Now then, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Whisper

2.) Jibanyan

3.) Komasan

Why are shiny Pokemon so special? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! If you're in the Pokemon fandom at all, you've heard about shiny Pokemon. But for those of you who don't know, shiny Pokemon are variants of normal Pokemon. Shiny Pokemon are a different color than normal Pokemon. But other than that, there isn't much of a difference. So why are they so special? It's because they're rare. Shiny Pokemon are very hard to find in pretty much every Pokemon game. The chances of them appearing are very low, which makes them special. Having a shiny Pokemon is an achievement, even if the shiny Pokemon isn't very good. Diehard Pokemon fans sometimes spend hours trying to get the right ones, and getting a shiny Legendary or other rare Pokemon is an even greater achievement. So even though shiny Pokemon may just look like a normal Pokemon with the wrong color, they're still very special. But, that's all I have to say about this for now. I just wanted to talk about this because many new fans are often confused by the concept of shiny Pokemon. Nonetheless, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!
