Why aren't there more dark-skinned characters in Genshin Impact? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! It's a common complaint in the Genshin Impact fandom that there aren't many dark-skinned characters, but I don't agree with this complaint. I agree that diversity and variety are important, but we're just barely getting to the regions that would even have dark-skinned people. Most of the current regions are based on areas with naturally light-skinned people. The desert region has a much larger amount of dark-skinned characters because it's accurate to the region. Along with this, it is still a game, and each character is based on a pre-existing model. There are only a certain amount of skin-tones, body-types, and heights at the moment. To add more will take some time. We'll likely get a lot more variety as we get different regions. We'll just have to wait and see. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic.
