Why do otaku characters always eat junk food? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! When you see an anime character who likes manga, videogames, or anime, they usually also eat junk food and drink soda. This is really common to see, so why is this? Well, this is just how Japan sees otakus. In Japan, people who like things like this are often seen as unemployed, lazy, hermit, snackaholics. Even if most anime fans aren't like this, it doesn't change how they're seen. Food is also just a way to show that a character is an otaku. For example, characters who fight a lot eat regular meals very often, but characters who are lazy or rest a lot eat snacks instead. Otakus are usually shown to be lazy, which is part of why they eat a lot of snacks. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
