For today's blog post, I will be talking about the finger puppets Near uses in Death Note. But first of all, I would like to mention that there may be some spoilers for the series in this post. So, proceed with caution! Now then, on with the post! Although the finger puppets Near uses in the series don't seem very important at first, they actually play a big role in Near's theories. He often uses them to show his plans step-by-step, and he even hand-made each one so he could accurately represent each person in his plans. Along with this, the finger puppets also show the negative parts of Near. Since Near is the one who made the finger puppets, he made each one of them represent his feelings toward that person. For example, since he respects L but doesn't like him as a person, he made the finger puppet of L look ugly. But since he really does like Mello, he worked very hard on the finger puppet of Mello.
