The blog post for today will be about The Gwiyomi Song. The Gwiyomi Song is a popular K-Pop song from 2013. Even though this song isn't really anime-related, Zen did sing a part of it in Mystic Messenger during one of his phone calls. However, I actually decided to mention this song on here because of how many videos have been made based on this song. Now then, on with the post! This song was originally sang by the K-Pop singer Hari. This song was actually based on the Gwiyomi Player gestures made by Jung Ilhoon, who is a member of the music group BtoB. The gestures for the "cute way of counting" were done on the T.V. show MTV Diary in 2012. In February of 2013, the Gwiyomi Song was released. Not long after that, the song became a viral sensation. There are now many different videos available of people replicating the Gwiyomi Song hand gestures themselves. As a little bonus, I will be including links for the original video, the English subtitled video, and Zen singing the song below. Enjoy!

* Before I list the links, I would like to make a couple of notes. First of all, since there are so many different videos for this song, I'm not sure if the link I included for the original song is the original music video. But, it is the correct song. I would also like to mention that the video with English subtitles lists the word "oppa" as "brother". Although that is correct, the term "oppa" can also be used by girls to refer to boys older than them. The word does mean more than this, but this is basically what it means. Now then, on with the links!
