Why is Totoro Studio Ghibli's mascot? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! For those of you who don't know, Totoro first appeared in Studio Ghibli's movie My Neighbor Totoro. Although it isn't the studio's first film, it quickly grew in popularity. The soft and fluffy title character became so popular that the studio eventually adopted him as their mascot. Totoro has been their mascot ever since, and he's easily one of the most popular and well-known Studio Ghibli characters. Totoro's appearance is not only iconic, but it welcomes new adults and children alike. People of any age almost always like Totoro, which makes him a suitable choice for a mascot.
