Why is the Raiden Shogun from Genshin Impact so disliked? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! There will be spoilers though, so proceed with caution! Although many fans think of Raiden as a liked character, it actually turns out many people don't like her much at all. As far as gameplay goes, she's a good character. But when it comes to her story, the foundation starts to crumble. Many fans don't like her because she willingly hurt her subjects. Not only was it for the selfish pursuit of eternity, but she knowingly allowed a civil war to happen without any care for the outcome. She also knew about visions holding the hopes and dreams of their bearers but still chose to take them anyways. Quite a few people have said they would rather have a full villain than what we got as well, since she never even faced any consequences for her actions. She even kept the loyalty of most of her people, and she regained her best friend. Because of this, fans are very frustrated with her. She knew the harm she was causing and simply didn't care. Not because she didn't care for her people, but because she saw her own goals as more important than the lives she was ruining and taking. But then she was immediately forgiven and everyone moved on. Things like this don't make a loveable character. But, these are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I just wanted to discuss this after seeing how disliked she really is.
