It's Singles Day! Singles Day is an unofficial Chinese holiday that celebrates single people. It's usually celebrated by shopping, and it's one of the biggest shopping days in the world. It isn't really well known, and it's not talked about often outside of China. However, you may see Singles Day sales on shopping websites. I'm sure anime fans have seen Singles Day sales even if they've never heard of it before. Since we have a few holidays that center around romance and families, I think it's good to have this holiday as well. Not everyone is in a relationship, and not everyone has to be in a relationship. With this holiday's growing popularity, I wonder if it'll eventually start appearing in anime and things like that in the future. Japan has borrowed culture from China often in the past, so it would make sense for this to eventually reach them.
