It's post time! Recently another human-like robot has been created in China. She's extremely realistic, and her name is Moya. Some people are excited, others are creeped out. This is a common problem with human-like robots. Because of this, I think these robots shouldn't look exactly like humans. Instead, I think they should look like anime characters. A big reason why anime is popular is because the characters are attractive. They're like humans, without being an exact match. I think using a face resembling anime would get rid of most of the uncanny valley effect. Not only this, but it would allow things like Vocaloids to get physical bodies so they can perform better and meet fans in real life. I also think there would be a bigger use for anime-like robots than realistic ones; like conventions, meet and greets, or fan gatherings. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic.
