What is Hamtaro? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Hamtaro was an anime series where cute hamsters go on adventures. It's named after the main character, as well. The show only ran for a few years, and unfortunately it didn't do very well outside of Japan after the episodes stopped getting English dubbed. However, it was still very popular in the early 2000's, and you could find it on the internet pretty often. It was another big part of kawaii culture, too. Many people think it faded away and disappeared, but it didn't. In Japan, you can still get Hamtaro merchandise even to this day. Hamtaro is still pretty popular if you know where to look. Since Hamtaro is starting to become popular again, I wanted to talk about it today. I highly recommend it, since it's always been one of my favorite series.
