It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about scorpions from Animal Crossing New Horizons. It's summer time, which means it's scorpion season in Animal Crossing. This rare and annoying bug only spawns after seven o'clock at night, and it has a very low spawn rate. You will occasionally encounter them on your island after seven, and there's a specific way you have to catch them. Some may think you just walk up to them with your net, or at least sneak up on them. But to catch a scorpion, you have to sneak with your net readied. If it turns around and raises its claws, you have to stop moving until it returns to normal. Then when you're positioned correctly, just let go of the net button and catch the scorpion. If you don't sneak, it will sting you. If you happen to be holding your net but don't even know there's a scorpion next to you, it will sting you. If you accidentally miss, it will sting you. There is no pleasing this horrible monster and catching it barely makes the 8,000 bells even worth it. I personally loathe these little critters because they are insanely unforgiving. However, I wanted to talk about them because it is scorpion season and the method for catching these little guys isn't super obvious. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about two items from Animal Crossing New Horizons. There are many unique and interesting items available in this game, but these two are based on traditional Japanese folktales. Many people who don't know the stories think they're very odd, but I personally love these two items. They are the Peach Surprise Box and the Bamboo Doll. Each one pops open to reveal a baby doll, with the Peach Surprise Box containing a boy and the Bamboo Doll containing a girl. This is because the Peach Surprise Box is based on the story of Momotaro, who was a baby boy found in a peach. The Bamboo Doll is based on the story of Princess Kaguya, who was a baby girl found in a bamboo stalk. I love these two items because they're very unique, and reference traditional and often forgotten stories. As always, I will be including pictures of them below so you all can see what they look like. Enjoy!

It's time to post! For today's blog post, I will be listing the three cicada Pokemon, along with a picture of each. Today's Google Doodle informed everyone that this year will be a special double brood for cicadas. That means there will be twice as many as usual out this summer. This is actually a rare event. So although some people may consider this bad news, it's actually pretty special. Because of this, I wanted to shine the spotlight on the three cicada Pokemon. Now then, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Nincada

2.) Ninjask

3.) Shedinja

What time is it? Post time! For today's blog post, I will be giving my thoughts on Animal Crossing New Horizons. Animal Crossing New Horizons is a cute little life simulator game where you inhabit a deserted island. It's a very popular Nintendo Switch game, and many people love it. I do admit that it is fun to play, and the wide range of customization options are pretty fun. It's also pretty fun to collect new items, and fill up the museum. The game is especially fun when it's played with someone else, but it's entertaining to play alone too. However, some of the quests can get frustrating and repetitive. Along with this, it's annoying to have to wait until the next day for house upgrades, mail, and Nook's Cranny (which closes each night at 10). All in all it's a pretty decent laid-back game that inspires community and creativity, but it can also be tedious and repetitive at times; especially when you're just starting out. Regardless, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. As always, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! For today's blog post, I will be listing three more of my favorite Lilia Vanrouge cards from Twisted Wonderland. I may choose a different character next time I do a list like this, but for today's blog post I just wanted to list more Lilia cards. So, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

Hatsune Miku has collaborated with G Fuel! This new collaboration is more than just a flavor. This new combo will feature a new Hatsune Miku inspired flavor, as well as a shaker bottle, an acrylic standee, stickers, and a special box that plays Magical Cure Love Shot! Along with this, the flavor will be a blend of watermelon and strawberry. This collector's box won't be shipping until September, but you can join the waitlist for it now. Although this is a pretty nice item and perfect for Miku fans, it is a little pricy. It costs $65, and doesn't ship to the EU, UK, or Asia. Nonetheless, I will be including the link for the official G Fuel website below so you all can see it for yourselves. Enjoy!

It's time for another new blog post! For today's blog post, I will be listing three things with a lot of collaborations. It's quite common within the anime community for series or companies to collaborate with other well-known things to bring in more fans. However, there are some examples of this where certain characters have collaborated with just about anyone or anything. So, I wanted to list a few today. Now then, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Sanrio (Mostly Hello Kitty)

2.) Crypton Future Media (Almost exclusively Hatsune Miku)

3.) Naruto (Usually Naruto Shippuden)

I may make another list like this in the future; especially since this one is so short. I just wanted to list a few things with a lot of different collaborations and products. But, that's all I have for now. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

What time is it? Post time! The blog post for today will be a list of three of my least favorite cat Pokemon, along with a picture of each. I'll also be giving a little explanation for each choice. There are a lot of cute cat Pokemon, but not all of them make the cut. So, let's get on with the list! Enjoy!

1.) Purugly - This one is alright, but "buff" and "cats" doesn't usually go together.

2.) Alolan Persian - Persian was so pretty! Why is this version so round and cartoonish?

3.) Galarian Meowth - It doesn't really look like a Meowth, and it's more like a ball of fur than anything.

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be ranking the Pomefiore boys from Twisted Wonderland. I will be ranking them out of ten, as well as giving a reason for each one. I haven't ranked characters in a while, and Pomefiore is a small dorm. So, I wanted to feature them today. I actually really like Pomefiore, but I don't talk about it very much. Keep in mind that these are just based on my opinions, as well. Now then, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Vil Schoenheit - 7/10 - I like Vil, but he can be a little frustrating and unforgiving at times. Otherwise he's a pretty solid and nice character.

2.) Rook Hunt - 9/10 - Rook is my favorite from this dorm. He's so mysterious and such a creep. It's very entertaining to watch.

3.) Epel Felmier - 8/10 - I really like Epel, but I feel like he has quite a bit of growing up to do. Of course that makes sense, since he's one of the youngest characters from the game. But it's still a little annoying at times, even if I like him most of the time.

That's all I have for now. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time for another list! For today's blog post, I will be listing three recognizable characters from My Neighbor Totoro, along with a picture of each. Studio Ghibli movies have some of the most well-known and recognizable characters from films in general, and My Neighbor Totoro actually has a few of those characters. So, I wanted to list some of them for you all today. Now then, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Catbus

2.) Soot Sprites

3.) Totoro

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about my least favorite Twisted Wonderland story chapter. But first! Here's an obligatory spoiler warning, so proceed with caution. Now then, let's get on with it! My least favorite story chapter is in Book Six, and it's chapter 66. Which is fitting, because this chapter is quite literally Hell for Twisted Wonderland players. Anyone who completed this chapter knows what I'm talking about. But for those of you who don't, Book Six chapter 66 is called Downward Trek. It splits off into three separate stories, which follow different characters. Each story has 15 sub-chapters, completed with challenges, battles, and a videogame. But that isn't all, because each part also has a part that requires a three hour break, totaling in nine hours if you don't do them all at once. Is this enough torture for you? Because you also don't get rewarded for any of this. That's right! Other than permanently unlocking the videogames, you get nothing. No gems, no thaumarks, nothing but the satisfaction of it being over when you finally finish it. And that's why this is my least favorite chapter. I wouldn't have minded it as much if it gave some sort of reward, but it doesn't. So I think it's awful; though I do admit the story itself is entertaining. But, those are just my thoughts on the topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about Meowscarada. I briefly mentioned in a previous post that Meowscarada is one of my favorite masculine Pokemon. Despite this, I understand that many people see Meowscarada as being more feminine. So, I wanted to expand on this topic more today. Meowscarada has become one of those Pokemon that's always shown to be feminine and is often drawn as a female within the fandom. Although I normally just ignore this, it does bother me a little with this Pokemon. Of course I understand because this happens a lot in this fandom, and Meowscarada isn't fully 100% male. However, it is supposed to be more masculine. Meowscarada is based on a few things, like phantom thieves, magicians, and jokers. It's even called the Magician Pokemon, and its personality is based on flamboyant performers. Along with this, it has a gender ratio of a massive 87 . 5% male; meaning it's supposed to be more masculine. It's kind of silly to care about the gender of a Pokemon, and normally I don't care. But viewing a feminine man as being gay, trans, or just outright female is becoming a more common occurrence within the anime community, and it's sad to see this unfortunate trend leaking into the Pokemon fandom. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

What time is it? Post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about two of my favorite cards from Twisted Wonderland. Those cards, are Idia's dorm uniform, and Ortho's Ignihyde gear. I don't like these cards because of their outfits, but rather because they show the bond between Idia and Ortho. Idia and Ortho are pretty much inseparable, with Ortho looking up to Idia as his practically perfect older brother and Idia taking care of Ortho as his protective older brother. This bond is shown well with their dorm uniform cards for a few reasons. Firstly, the cards can be put side-by-side to make one big picture, which is unusual for dorm uniform cards. Not only this, but Idia's duo magic also features Ortho. Even the groovy versions show their bond, since both of them show the boys standing up for themselves in their own ways. That's why I like these cards, since it shows how similar the Shroud brothers are to each other while also showing how close they are to each other. As always, I'll be including pictures of the cards below so you all can see what they look like. Enjoy!

It's time for another new blog post! For today's blog post, I will be listing three of my favorite masculine humanoid Pokemon, along with a picture of each. Since it's a short list, I'll also be giving a reason for each one. There aren't very many masculine-looking humanoid Pokemon, with most of the more human-like Pokemon looking much more feminine. That's why this list is a bit shorter than usual today. Please keep in mind that these are just my opinions, as well. So, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Gallade - Gallade is one of my favorite Pokemon in general. Even though most people prefer Gardevoir, I've actually always liked Gallade more.

2.) Raboot - I've always really liked this little bunny's design. I don't like Cinderace as much, and honestly Raboot doesn't really fit with the other evolutions. But it's a solid design and I love it.

3.) Meowscarada - A lot of people think this Pokemon is more feminine, but personally I think it's more masculine. It has a very clear phantom thief/magician vibe to it, and I really like the way it turned out.

That's all I have for now. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new list! For today's blog post, I will be listing three of my favorite brightly colored game series, along with a picture of each. Normally I would list more than this, but I wanted to do a nice simple post today. So, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Splatoon

2.) Kirby

3.) Cooking Mama

What time is it? Post time! Today's blog post will be about Luigi's Mansion 3. Luigi's Mansion 3 is the third installment in the Luigi's Mansion series, and it's available on the Nintendo Switch. Along with this, it originally came out in 2019. Luigi's Mansion 3 starts out with Luigi, Mario, and their friends being invited to the Last Resort Hotel. But when Mario and their friends go missing, it's up to Luigi to save everyone. Now Luigi has to travel through the hotel to find the missing people, fight ghosts, and uncover secrets. This game is pretty cute, funny, and charming. There are some pretty good jokes scattered throughout, and there's even a multiplayer mode so you can fight ghosts with friends. I would recommend checking this game out, but keep in mind that it has a kind of steep pricetag of $60. As always, I will be including a picture from Luigi's Mansion 3 below so you all can see what it looks like. Enjoy!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be giving my honest opinion on the gacha system for Twisted Wonderland. I won't be complaining like I often do with these posts, just giving honest thoughts on it. Twisted Wonderland has one of the worst gacha systems I've seen in a while. There isn't very much of a pity system, since you have to do 100 pulls for a 50/50, and 200 pulls for a guaranteed SSR. This isn't very different from Genshin Impact, but the pity rolls over to the next banner in Genshin Impact. It doesn't in Twisted Wonderland. It's also incredibly difficult to get SSR cards in general. Aside from the birthday cards which seem to be somewhat easier to get, it's nearly impossible to get the featured SSR card even when it has a rate up. And if you didn't get the card, guess what. You just wasted all of those gems and keys. Because you won't get the next one either. The gacha system in Twisted Wonderland is so unforgiving that it almost seems pointless to even try. Sometimes you get lucky and get the card, but you usually don't. I hope they fix this in the future, because otherwise it feels kind of pointless to even continue trying to get the cards at all. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post.

It's time for another new blog post! I haven't talked about Obey Me in a while on this blog, so today I've decided to rank the seven brothers in order from my favorite to my least favorite. I like all of them, but some of them I like more than the others. Keep in mind this list is also just based on my opinions. Now then, let's get on with the list! Enjoy!

1.) Belphegor

2.) Mammon

3.) Asmodeus

4.) Leviathan

5.) Satan

6.) Beelzebub

7.) Lucifer

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be listing five of my favorite Lilia Vanrouge cards from Twisted Wonderland. Twisted Wonderland has a large amount of cards, and a lot of them have amazing artwork even before they're groovy. So, I wanted to list some of my favorites today. I decided to start with Lilia, since he's my favorite character. Now then, let's get on with the list! Enjoy!

It's Mother's Day! Happy Mother's Day everyone! Normally I would do a special blog post for today, but there's a surprising lack of mothers in anime; let alone good mothers. I understand that characters need tragic backstories, but at this point it's getting ridiculous. So instead, I'll be including one picture from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid below because Kobayashi and Tohru are very motherly to Kanna. Enjoy!

It's post time! Since there have been solar storms recently and there will be geomagnetic storms for the next day or two, I decided to do a blog post for it. So for today's blog post, I will be listing five electric-type Pokemon, along with a picture of each. So, let's get on with the list! Enjoy!

1.) Magnemite

2.) Mareep

3.) Electrike

4.) Shinx

5.) Toxtricity

3, 2, 1, post time! Yesterday was my 2,800th blog post! So to help celebrate, I will be talking about the Pokemon Sandslash today. Sandslash is the 28th Pokemon, so I thought it would be fitting. Sandslash has two different versions. There's the original Sandslash, which is a ground-type Pokemon, and there's Alolan Sandslash, which is an ice/steel-type Pokemon. Along with this, Sandslash evolves from Sandshrew. Sandslash is very good at attacking with its spikes and claws while it's scurrying around, and it rolls up into a ball to attack its foes. Sandslash's spikes are made of its hardened hide, as well. This Pokemon can also dig very quickly, and sometimes it breaks its sharp nails while it's digging. When this happens, the claws can grow back in a day. As always, I will be including a picture of Sandslash below so you all can see what it looks like. Enjoy!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be listing five otome games I like. Otome games are still pretty popular, so I wanted to list a few of my favorites today; especially since I've recently been replaying my personal favorite, Mystic Messenger. So, let's get on with the list! Enjoy!

1.) Mystic Messenger

2.) Hatoful Boyfriend

3.) Love Unholyc

4.) Blush Blush

5.) Obey Me

A new Lilia Vanrouge banner has been released in Twisted Wonderland! But before I say what it is, here's a minor spoiler warning! Now then, let's get on with it! Today marks the release of Lilia's General Armor card in the English Twisted Wonderland server. The banner will be running until the 23rd, which gives fans more time to get it. However, it is important to note that this specific card is tied to the story of Book 7, so it will have some spoilers with it. Even so, I recommend at least trying to get it. 100 pulls will get you a guaranteed SSR, and 200 pulls will get you the featured SSR card. I'll admit that it's pretty difficult to earn enough gems and keys for that many summons. But, the rates are slightly raised on featured banners, so there's a chance of getting the card before then. As always, I'll be including a picture of the General Armor Lilia card below so you all can see what it looks like. Enjoy!

What time is it? Post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the downsides of playing gacha games. Gacha games are very popular in the anime community. Games like Genshin Impact and Twisted Wonderland are considered gacha games. But for those of you who don't know, gacha games are videogames that have some sort of gacha system. The gacha system allows you to get different characters, cards, or weapons, and it's very common in anime-style mobile games. A lot of gacha games have good stories and amazing art, but there's always one massive downside. And that, is the gacha system itself. Gacha systems are awful. The drop rates usually suck, and pulls usually take a special currency that is more difficult to get. Of course this is to encourage players to pay for the currency with real money, but the currency is usually rather expensive. This makes it difficult for players who are free-to-play, or who can't really afford to keep throwing money at a game. Of course there are really good gacha games, and I've played quite a few of them over the years. But that doesn't make this any less frustrating. Gacha games will always have that frustrating element of not being able to collect the things you really want, which can be a huge downside of an otherwise great game. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Gacha games are popular for a reason, and some of them are genuinely really good. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

New day, new post! For today's blog post, I will be listing two popular Vocaloid songs, along with a link for each. Why only two? Well, because these Vocaloid songs are just about everywhere right now. One is the song responsible for the current Miku Miku Beam meme, and the other one is responsible for the Mesmerizer meme. These songs are actually really good, even though they're very different from each other. One of them also includes Kasane Teto, which isn't seen very often with the more popular songs. Along with this, the animation seen in the official videos is actually really good. So, let's get on with it! Please support the original creators, because they work very hard to create things like this. Enjoy!

1.) Mesmerizer - Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto

2.) Magical Cure Love Shot - Hatsune Miku

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about which Disney villain I most want to see in Twisted Wonderland. There are a few Disney villains who weren't included in Twisted Wonderland. Of course most of the ones who weren't included were sidekicks, but I'm only referring to main villains. Out of all of the overlooked villains and sidekicks, the one I want to see added the most is Captain Hook. It's rather surprising that we haven't seen Captain Hook yet because this one has actually been requested quite a bit. Not only that, but we've also had events that would have made sense if he was included. Events featuring other characters based on well-known Disney villains have gone over well with fans in the past, so seeing more characters being added like this in the future is likely. There are quite a few villain sidekicks that fans are still hoping to see, but it's more likely to have main villains be added first. Out of all of the potential villains, I'd really love to see Captain Hook be added to the game. He's a strong villain, and Peter Pan is one of my favorite classic Disney films. He's also a rather popular and well-known character, so it would make sense to see him sometime in the future. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

April showers bring May flowers! So since it's May now, I wanted to list five flower Pokemon; along with a picture of each. These are pretty Pokemon who either have flowers on them, or are flowers! It's also getting warmer recently, which means spring is on its way. With spring comes flowers, which is another good reason to feature some flower Pokemon. So, let's get on with the list! Enjoy!

1.) Gossifleur

2.) Lilligant

3.) Shaymin

4.) Roselia

5.) Bellossom

Friday, May 3, 2024

Another new day, another new list! For today's blog post, I will be listing three of my least favorite characters, along with a reason for each. I often list my favorite characters, so I wanted to list my least favorites today. That's all there is to it. So, let's get on with the list! Enjoy!

1.) Rika from Mystic Messenger - Pure evil. She knows what she did.

2.) Light Yagami from Death Note - A glorified mass murderer who doesn't even think he's bad.

3.) Il Dottore from Genshin Impact - I usually like the mad scientist types, but Dottore hurt characters that I actually like and that is unforgivable.

That's all I have for today. I know this list is shorter than usual, but I don't often hate characters. I know people like these characters, but I don't. So, I wanted to make a list and explain why I don't like them. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Why did Scaramouche get a different design in Genshin Impact? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! There will be some spoilers though, so proceed with caution! Ever since Scaramouche was introduced, fans knew that he would one day be a playable character. However, everyone theorized he would be an electro user because of his clothes and connection to the electro archon. But when he was finally released, his outfit was completely different. Why would his outfit change if he already had an in-game model? Well, there's a few reasons. Firstly, Scaramouche ended up being an anemo user. He didn't have a vision before, so his old design wouldn't have matched his given element. His new outfit also reflects himself more, instead of being connected to the electro archon. Along with this, his old hat was too big. His new hat is slightly smaller, which makes it better for gameplay and exploration. A bigger hat would've gotten in the way, and probably clipped through pretty much everything. So giving him a slightly smaller one keeps the iconic look, but makes the clipping less likely. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. As always, I will be including pictures of both of his outfits below so you all can see what he looks like. Enjoy!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about what I think should be added to Project Diva games. For those of you who don't know, Project Diva is a series of rhythm games that feature the Crypton Future Media vocaloids. Each addition is a little different than the last, but at the root of it they're all rhythm games. So what could possibly be added to a rhythm game? More vocaloids, of course! Of course it isn't very easy to add vocaloids from a different company to the games. But, it isn't impossible. In fact, Gumi was included in Project Mirai. Because of this, it's clearly possible to add more vocaloids from different companies. Gumi and Gakupo are both owned by Internet Co., Ltd. as well, so it wouldn't be impossible to include both of them in a future installment of Project Diva. Gumi and Gakupo are also some of the most well-known and recognizable vocaloids outside of the ones created by Crypton Future Media, so including them in a game would likely also draw in a lot more fans. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
