What time is it? Post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the downsides of playing gacha games. Gacha games are very popular in the anime community. Games like Genshin Impact and Twisted Wonderland are considered gacha games. But for those of you who don't know, gacha games are videogames that have some sort of gacha system. The gacha system allows you to get different characters, cards, or weapons, and it's very common in anime-style mobile games. A lot of gacha games have good stories and amazing art, but there's always one massive downside. And that, is the gacha system itself. Gacha systems are awful. The drop rates usually suck, and pulls usually take a special currency that is more difficult to get. Of course this is to encourage players to pay for the currency with real money, but the currency is usually rather expensive. This makes it difficult for players who are free-to-play, or who can't really afford to keep throwing money at a game. Of course there are really good gacha games, and I've played quite a few of them over the years. But that doesn't make this any less frustrating. Gacha games will always have that frustrating element of not being able to collect the things you really want, which can be a huge downside of an otherwise great game. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Gacha games are popular for a reason, and some of them are genuinely really good. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
