It's time for another new blog post! Today's blog post will be about the language Villagers speak in Animal Crossing. Many fans have theorized that Animal Crossing Villagers are actually speaking English that's been sped up. This is because when you talk to them, you can occasionally hear them saying English words. However, they're actually speaking their own language called Animalese. It's a language that was meant to be unintelligible, because each letter is pronounced individually instead of the whole word. This is why numbers can be heard, and why occasionally you can hear the words being pronounced correctly. The Animalese spoken changes based on the game language, because the Villagers are saying the words you're reading, but they're instead pronouncing each letter phonetically. This is actually pretty interesting, and explains why fans think the Villagers are just speaking sped up English even though they aren't. I wanted to talk about this because it's a common question within the fandom, and I think the answer is pretty cool. As always, I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!
