It's post time! One of the main complaints about Animal Crossing New Horizons is that you can't interact with anything. Playing cozy games is more fun when you can place things and then interact with those things to see what they do. But in Animal Crossing, you can't do that. It's a big part of why people get bored with the game. Even the stuff you can interact with usually only have one animation and that's it. So if you interact with it once, you're done with it. You can't play on the park equipment, you can't ride the carnival rides, you can't play the arcade games, and you can't even wash your hands or take a bath. These may seem like small things, but the small things are what make games more immersive. Without these, the game gets old, fast. Should there be animations for most of the items? Honestly, yes. In most games like this, you can interact with these objects. It's fun to do even if you've already done it before. It would take more time and effort, but that's what makes a game worth playing. Obviously it's too late to add these things now, which is why it's so disappointing. Nintendo has released other games that let you interact with objects before, so not including it in this game makes it feel even more lazy. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic.
