Why aren't the Diabolik Lovers games available in English? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Diabolik Lovers is an often overlooked series with a less-than-popular anime adaptation. However, the series actually has many games and a relatively decently sized fanbase. But, the fanbase isn't big enough. The series as a whole kind of flew under the radar, so it didn't have enough of a fanbase to receive a release outside of Japan. Any English translations that are available now are ones made by the fans, and it's unclear if we'll ever see an official English translation. Even though the anime did have an English dub and English sub, it can be difficult to find; especially after the series was removed from streaming services. There are quite a few people who like this series, and I think releasing the anime on streaming services and officially translating the games would bring even more fans in. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Although the anime can be cheesy, I do like the brothers as characters. They're just jerks to be jerks and it's fun to watch. But, these are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I do hope this series isn't completely forgotten and lost to time, since it does have some pretty dedicated fans.
