It's time for yet another new blog post! Today's blog post will be about Character AI. Character AI is a chat bot that has slowly but surely been growing in popularity. The program allows users to create their own character-based AI; which means there are a lot to choose from. These characters can be based on anyone at all, even if they're fictional. Because of this, Character AI is becoming very popular in many fandoms. However, it is still just an AI. This means that it isn't always accurate to the characters it is designed around. Still, it can be fun to see what happens. Although this isn't strictly anime-related, I've been seeing it around so often recently that I thought I should talk about it. As always, I will be including the link for it below for anyone who may be interested in checking it out. Enjoy!

New day, new post! For today's blog post, I will be listing five anime series with ghosts and demons in them. People love unnatural and spooky things, so I've decided to compile a little list for you all today. Although these shows aren't necessarily spooky, I think they still fit. So, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Bleach

2.) Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun

3.) Noragami

4.) Sleepy Princess In The Demon Castle

5.) Welcome To Demon School Iruma-Kun

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the Hilichurl Rogues from Genshin Impact. Hilichurl Rogues are enemies that use the elements to fight, and they can even create slimes of their corresponding elements. However, I'd like to talk about their designs. Although they look like Hilichurls, there's something else to them. They also look like Xiao. This is especially noticeable with the anemo Rogues, which look very similar to Xiao. Because of this, I can't help but wonder if Hilichurl Rogues are corrupted Yakshas. The Rogues are tall, strong, and can even spawn elemental slimes. Slimes are creatures of elemental energy, so they would take a lot of elemental energy to create. A Yaksha would have a lot of energy, and it wouldn't be impossible for them to be Yakshas; or even just adepti. Adepti are very old creatures, and it would make sense for these big and powerful Hilichurls to be some sort of corrupted adepti. But, these are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I really wanted to talk about this because I immediately connected the designs of these Hilichurl Rogues to Xiao. Because of this, I will be including a picture of an anemo Hilichurl Rogue below so you all can see for yourselves. Enjoy!

Why isn't Pokemon Go as popular anymore? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Everyone remembers the summer of Pokemon Go. Tons of Pokemon fans new and old rushed to the streets to capture their favorite Pokemon. It was a new game, unlike anything else. This game was the closest we had ever gotten to making Pokemon a reality. The hype eventually died down after a while, but it was still popular. And then, everyone had to stay inside. No one could go outside to play Pokemon Go, so the development team made it so people could play from their houses instead. As restrictions were lifted, these features were gradually taken away. Since Pokemon Go was originally made to encourage players to go outside, this made perfect sense. However, the fans weren't having it. The removal of the new features chased fans away, and the game's player base hasn't recovered since. Although I understand why the features were removed, I think there should be a balance so everyone can enjoy the game. Pokemon Go could also use more player customization features for better immersion, and different Pokemon should be more easily accessible instead of being stuck in places some players can't get to at all. But, these are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I just wanted to talk about this because the amount of Pokemon Go ads recently has skyrocketed to help the game spread again. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time for a list! For today's blog post, I will be listing three rainy day Pokemon; along with a picture of each. These are just a few Pokemon associated with rain in some way. I haven't made a Pokemon list in a little while, so I wanted to list a few today. Enjoy!

1.) Castform

2.) Sliggoo

3.) Kyogre

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about Five Nights At Freddy's. Although this horror series is far from anime, there are actually a few instances of anime references within the series. This is seen mostly in the game Ultimate Custom Night, which has anime-inspired cutscenes. There was also a fighting game released for Security Breach called Security Breach: Fury's Rage that resembles old fighting games like Street Fighter. Many people love anime and its art style, so it isn't uncommon to see things like this even in American games now. I'm sure there are more anime references to be found throughout the series as well, but these are the most well-known ones. Because of this, I will be including pictures from Ultimate Custom Night and Security Breach: Fury's Rage below so you all can see them. Enjoy!

Will Death Note ever officially continue? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Although Death Note ended on a rather sad but perhaps fitting note quite some time ago now, it has come back a few times for little one shots. There are some stories that could still be told with this series, and many fans aren't satisfied with the small amount of content we've gotten so far. After the reveal of Near's new life and design, I would also like to see where this series could go from the most recent installment. However, it's unlikely this series will continue. The creators are always glad to see how popular Death Note was (and still is), and there may be more one shots made in the future. But the creators want to focus on new projects. Different projects. Although disappointing, there's nothing wrong with this. Many series don't continue at all after they end, especially so long after they ended. There's nothing saying we're owed anything, and any official content we get is practically a gift. Many fans haven't even read all of the one shots; even though they have more content and more lore for theories. Maybe they don't seem like much, but almost all of the information we have for L came from things that were released after the series was over. Since the one shots have been conveniently compiled into the Death Note Short Stories book, now is a better time than ever to read them all; and possibly add them to your collection. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I'd love to see the series continue in some way, especially since Near didn't get very much content in the latest one shot. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the romanticization of Death Note characters; specifically Light and L. Although there's nothing wrong with liking a character, many fans willingly overlook the personal flaws of the characters. Death Note is a series that purposefully gives each character a flaw to show that no one will ever be perfect. Whether you can overlook these flaws or not is up to you, but they are there. For example, Light is narcissistic, egotistical, and he usually doesn't care about people in general. On the other hand, L can have a cold demeanor, and he's insanely codependent. He can hardly take care of himself, he eats a lot, and he's a bit germaphobic. Many people won't even bother to acknowledge these issues, and they treat them like they're perfect. They often make stories or comments about how perfect these characters are, even though they're far from it. Light and L are humans, and no human will ever be perfect. The series even shows that shinigami themselves are known to be flawed even though they're gods; which means no one in the Death Note universe is ever perfect. Death Note may just be a work of fiction, but it isn't really healthy to idolize anyone and treat them as if they're perfect. No one is perfect, and that's okay. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

What even is Twisted Wonderland? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Many fans have argued about whether Twisted Wonderland is an otome game or not. One of the most common jokes within the fandom is that the characters will flirt with the protagonist even though it isn't an otome game. You can get small, usually overlooked voice lines implying that the characters like the MC romantically. These voice lines can be unlocked by getting new cards, raising your friendship rank with the characters, leveling the cards, through certain events, and even by setting the characters on your home screen. This is most common with characters like Malleus, Lilia, and even Rook. However, you can't date any of them. This is what separates it from being an otome game. Even if there are a lot of pretty boys who all like the main character, it isn't an otome game if you can't date them. Otome games became so heavily associated with romance that games without romance are now called joseimuke games. These games are very similar to otome games, but without the romance. They're still targeted towards women, and many of them still have fan service in some way. But there isn't a way to romance any of the characters. Joseimuke is also a much broader term that includes all games targeted towards women; including rhythm, gacha, and combat games. All of which describes Twisted Wonderland. If the option to romance the characters of Twisted Wonderland was added, then it would be an otome game. But for now, it's just a joseimuke. And I personally think it's perfectly fine the way it is. Regardless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time to post! But first, there will be spoilers ahead! So proceed with caution! Now then, let's get on with it! Although Near and Mello are both supposed to be L's successors, Mello is very different from L in many ways. It's Near who is almost a direct parallel to him. There are many things about Near that were meant to mirror L, to show he's similar to him while also being his opposite. So, I'll be listing some of their differences below to help show this. Enjoy!

1.) L hates wearing socks, while Near always wears socks.

2.) L often plays with his food, but Near plays with objects.

3.) L is almost always eating, but Near is almost never shown with food.

4.) L is only dependent on Watari, whereas Near is heavily dependent on nearly anyone without growing attached to anyone in particular.

5.) L hardly ever puts his feet on the floor, keeping them on the furniture unless he's walking. However, Near is always sitting or laying on the floor, and he's nearly constantly touching the floor in some way.

6.) L and Near both wear the same outfit daily, but L wears jeans and a regular shirt with long sleeves and Near wears pajamas.

These are only a few of the differences between them. As for visually speaking, it's more obvious that they're meant to be mirrored; since their hair colors are exact opposites. L has black hair, and Near has white hair. Near is also rather short compared to L, and he now has long hair to further contrast from L's short hair. It's clear that Near was always meant to be the true successor to L because of all of the similarities and mirrored traits between them. But it's good to see that he's also his own person instead of just an identical copy. But, these are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

Another day, another post! For today's blog post, I will be listing all of the Death Note one shots that have been released so far. There aren't very many one shots, but there have been some made. Even if they're short continuations of the story, they're still good to read. Many fans don't know these one shots exist, either. So, let's get on with it. Enjoy!

1.) The Taro Kagami Story (Not a part of the current Death Note timeline, this one shot is the manga pilot chapter)

2.) The C-Kira Story

3.) L: The Wammy's House/ One Day

4.) The A-Kira Story

It's Father's Day! So for this year's special post, I will be listing a few good anime fathers. Anime characters don't often have parents, and they usually kind of suck if they do have parents. So, today I will be listing the somewhat rare examples of good fathers. Enjoy! Happy Father's Day!

1.) Soichiro Yagami from Death Note

2.) Lilia Vanrouge from Twisted Wonderland

3.) Shikaku Nara from Naruto

4.) Forrest Haruna from Hamtaro

5.) Isshin Kurosaki from Bleach

Saturday, June 17, 2023

It's time for another post! For today's blog post, I will be listing some cute anime creatures I like. There isn't really a reason for this list, and it isn't in any specific order. So, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Teddy Demons from Sleepy Princess In The Demon Castle

2.) Eggplant Seals from Sleepy Princess In The Demon Castle

3.) Eevee from Pokemon

4.) Brandy from Hamtaro

5.) Kumayuru and Kumakyu from Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear

It's time to post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about the coffins in Twisted Wonderland. For those of you who don't know, students arrive at Night Raven College in coffins. They stay there until the staff lets them out, but this is the only time coffins are mentioned within the game. However, Twisted Wonderland still has quite a bit of coffin imagery. This can be seen in official art, animations, and merchandise. Along with this, coffins are used for the loading screen of the game. The coffins on the loading screens change every time a new screen loads. It's always the same number of coffins, but the pictures on them change. Each picture represents a student, and their names are displayed under the coffins to show which one each represents. For example, Lilia Vanrouge has a bat on his coffin because he's heavily associated with bats. I believe if you look at these coffins, they'll help show you exactly who is based on what. As always, I will be including a picture of Lilia's coffin below as an example. Enjoy!

Another new day, another new post! Today's blog post will be about the Pokemon Absol. Dark-type Pokemon can be rather cruel, but there are also many misunderstood Pokemon in this category. Absol is a good example of this. Although it's known as the disaster Pokemon, this was all a big misunderstanding. Absol shows up whenever there is a disaster. It was seen as a bad omen, and bad luck. Seeing one meant something bad was sure to happen. Everyone thought Absol was causing this. They even chased it into the mountains because of this. However, it was actually trying to prevent it. Absol can sense natural disasters, and its appearance happening directly before a disaster was because it was trying to warn everyone. After Absol's ability to detect disasters became known, its special horn became a target; causing it to flee deeper into the mountains. Now it only comes down to warn others of disaster. Absol is one of the most misunderstood Pokemon, although I'm sure it isn't the only one. As always, I will be including a picture of Absol below. Enjoy!

It's another appreciation post! Today's blog post will be about Rook Hunt from Twisted Wonderland. I admit I didn't know very much about Rook until recently. Since he's always with Vil, I assumed I wouldn't like him. But, he's actually a pretty great guy. He's kind, charming, and polite towards everyone he talks to. He does have some odd traits, like memorizing everything about everyone and figuring out how to properly hunt things. Things, including people. But for the most part he's pretty amazing. He's also talented, and he can be really poetic too. He seems to have a good heart, as well. As always, I will be including a picture of Rook below. Enjoy!

It's post time! The Phantom Bride event is getting a rerun in Twisted Wonderland. I missed it the first time, so I participated this round. In normal me fashion, I finished the story within a day. But oh boy, the way they treated Idia was horrendous. I won't go into details for anyone who hasn't finished it themselves, but I would like to once again discuss the issue with Idia. Idia himself is fine. He's a shut-in otaku who has massive social anxiety. He's somewhat socially unaware, and he struggles with communicating most of the time; unless the subject is one he likes and is familiar with. I'm sure this can describe a lot of people; including those that play the game. Which causes a major issue. Idia is treated extremely poorly by 85% of the characters. He's either forced out of his comfort zone, mocked, ignored, belittled, and at times left for dead. There's almost no one who cares about him, and he'd be absolutely alone if not for his little brother. It makes it feel like they'd treat anyone with that level of social anxiety like that. It also makes it feel like anyone with social anxiety wouldn't just be outcast, but possibly left for dead as well. Would their survival rate drop significantly if they were introverted too? Would they be treated as badly as Idia, if not worse? Making someone like Idia the punching bag just because he's a bit snarky, anxious, and not conventionally normal makes it seem like everyone like that would be treated poorly. Why would anyone with those issues want to spend time with people who make them feel even worse about themself? Socially anxious and unaware people already feel bad and awkward without people making them feel worse about it. No wonder Idia stays in his room all day every day. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I know talking about it won't change anything, and I know it's supposed to just be an ongoing joke. But it bothers me. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time for another post! Up until yesterday, I was taking a break from Genshin Impact. I missed a few things, but I needed a break after playing it for so long. But that isn't the only reason I took a break. The other reason, was Tighnari. For those of you who don't know, Tighnari got a new voice actor. It was a needed change, but I was worried because his voice really fit him before. A good voice can make or break a character, and his new voice broke him. Tighnari was one of my top favorite characters before. Now, I can't even stand to have him on my team. His voice is fine, and I like the voice actor they chose for him. But he doesn't sound like Tighnari anymore. Tighnari was known for his sassy and snarky personality, while still being polite. They didn't have to keep the voice the same, but they could have at least kept his personality. He isn't the same anymore. Any time anyone spoke up about this, they were ridiculed. That isn't right though, nor is it fair. A voice is part of the character, and how you say things is what shows your personality. It feels like he doesn't even have a personality anymore. He's just, another character. He isn't sassy at all. He's just, there. And it drives me so crazy that he constantly sounds like he's just, there. He doesn't really have much of a vocal direction or anything. It sounds like he doesn't even want to be there. If they had kept his personality, I wouldn't have minded the new voice. But they didn't. So now he just feels like a hollow shell of a character that used to have a personality. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's 707's birthday again! It feels like this happens every year. Because it does. It's funny how birthdays work like that. Those who often read my blog will know I hardly ever mention the fact that it isn't just 707's birthday. It's also the birthday of his twin brother, Saeran. I didn't mention that before because it was kind of a spoiler. But, it's been long enough now. In fact, it's been so long that the twins would be around 28 years old this year. So, a very happy birthday to the Choi twins! I'll be including this year's official birthday picture below, as well as the announcement for this year's Twitter event. Enjoy! Happy birthday you two!

It's a Ruggie Bucchi appreciation post! Ruggie is a somewhat overlooked Twisted Wonderland character, but he's actually one of the better ones; in my opinion. He doesn't really get the appreciation he deserves, especially within the game. The characters of Twisted Wonderland are often pretty judgemental of him because he seems to love money so much. But in reality, he's just really poor. He's broke. He has to scavenge for food just to eat most of the time, and he comes from a poor family. I personally don't understand why the main character doesn't help him, since they get to eat for free in exchange for helping the headmage; and Ruggie really needs food. He's also incredibly nice, and he does pretty much anything for his friends. He's even been shown to give up potential material wealth just to help his friends, and he never takes anything from Leona even when he has every opportunity to. Ruggie is just a really nice guy, and I think he deserves some more appreciation. And food. Come on guys, he's starving. Feed him. As always, I will also be including a picture of Ruggie below. Enjoy!

It's time for a theory post! For today's blog post, I will be talking about Light Yagami from Death Note. For those of you who don't know, L and Light are meant to be opposites. Light is meant to look very polished and perfect, and L is meant to look very messy. Light was made to be attractive, and L was made to look odd or unattractive. L always wears the same outfit, and Light always wears a different outfit. This is to show that Light and L are opposites of each other. Where L is very calm and methodical, Light tends to act more impulsively and emotionally. However, a little known fact is that L is immensely clean. He doesn't like germs, he bathes very often, and he owns many sets of the same clothes so he can change often while still wearing his favorite clothes. If this is the case, and Light and L are opposites, this means there's a very good chance Light is actually secretly filthy. There's really no evidence of him being clean or groomed in any way at all, and him being clean is just an assumption fans make. He's attractive, well-loved by his peers, popular with girls; of course he has to be clean. Wrong! He doesn't have to be clean at all! As long as he keeps up appearances, he doesn't have to do anything. He could be a total slob. In fact, he probably is a total slob. Since Light and L are opposites and L is the clean one, then Light would have to be the messy one. I'd also like to mention that this would be an amazing way to subvert expectations as well, since everyone just assumes Light is perfect when really he's just a person. But, I digress. I just wanted to talk about this because I think it would be interesting to see. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time for yet another new blog post! For today's blog post, I will be listing three popular cartoons that have anime references scattered throughout them. I won't be listing specific references, but instead I'll just be listing the cartoons. These cartoons are also in no way based on the anime art style itself, since it would be pretty pointless if I just added a cartoon that was based on anime. Now then, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Adventure Time

2.) Steven Universe

3.) Gravity Falls

It's time for another new blog post! For today's blog post, I will be listing more Death Note characters as food. This will be following the same rules as the previous posts, which means there will be no explanations. So, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Matsuda - Chocolate Chip Muffin

2.) Soichiro Yagami - Bagel

3.) Sayu Yagami - Banana Pie

It's post time. For today's blog post, I will be giving my thoughts on Paradox Pokemon. Paradox Pokemon are groups of Pokemon that are based on pre-existing Pokemon. Some of them are ancient Pokemon from the past, and others are from the future. Although Pokemon variants aren't unusual at this point, Paradox Pokemon are a bit lacking when it comes to creativity. There's almost nothing different from their original forms. Regional variants at least change some things, but Paradox Pokemon barely change anything. It's true that the past variants are a bit more creative than most of the future variants, but they're still missing some sort of individuality. Many fans were excited to see the new Paradox Pokemon. However, I think they're a bit disappointing. There isn't anything wrong with them. They're just a bit underwhelming. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post.

It's time for a post! Today's blog post will be about Pusheen the cat. Over the years, Pusheen has become an icon. She's highly recognizable, and she's very popular within the anime community. However, she isn't Japanese. She was created in America. She is somewhat based on kawaii culture though, and she actually became incredibly popular in Japan. She has even had collaborations with Sanrio, and she fits in well with Hello Kitty and her friends. Pusheen was originally created in 2010 as well, and she first appeared in her own comic. She has a series of short animations on her official YouTube channel, and she has a very large variety of merchandise. Pusheen can be found on almost everything, and she now has quite a bit of Japanese merchandise. As always, I will be including the link to her official website below. Enjoy!

It's time for another new post. For today's blog post, I will be talking about Jamil Viper from Twisted Wonderland. I finally finished his stupid boss fight, and boy do I have some harsh words for him. However, there will be spoilers ahead for those of you who haven't beat it. So proceed with caution. Now then, let's get on with it. I'm going to put it bluntly: Jamil is a massive jerk. Before any Jamil fans try to defend him, no. I won't hear it. He blamed all of his life problems on poor Kalim, and absolutely betrayed him for no reason. Kalim didn't know anything was wrong. No one told him. To him, Jamil was just his lifelong best friend. The only friend he had, and the only one who cared. But it was all just a lie. Jamil played him, and lied to him his whole life. For something Kalim had no control over. And when Kalim apologized (for something he didn't do) and promised to treat him like an equal despite believing he already did so, Jamil yelled at him. He insulted him, berated him, and said he'd never be friends with him. Kalim offered him kindness even though he did nothing wrong, and Jamil still wasn't satisfied. Jamil is rude, bitter, and untrustworthy. I praised him in past posts for how nice and caring he was, but his whole personality was nothing more than a lie. It's disgusting, and so far he's the only character who can actually qualify as a villain. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on the topic. I know I was pretty harsh on him, but I really hate people like that. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this rather negative blog post.

It's post time! I have had an incredibly busy day, and I'm very tired. So, today's blog post will be very simple. I will be listing more Death Note characters as food; shinigami edition. There will only be three, and they're all shinigami. And no I will not be explaining my choices. Now then, let's get on with it! Enjoy!

1.) Ryuk - Apple Soda

2.) Rem - Slightly Burnt Marshmallow

3.) Sidoh - Dark Chocolate Covered Peanut

Friday, June 2, 2023

It's post time! For today's blog post, i will be talking about the difficulty levels of the boss fights in Twisted Wonderland. Spoilers ahead; especially for new players! Now then, let's get on with it! For those of you who somehow don't know, each book of the game ends with an Overblot boss fight. It isn't always the housewarden, but instead it's the character based on the main villain from the original Disney movie. Although boss fights are meant to be tough, the end of book boss battles are immensely tough. This goes double for Jamil's fight, who you have to defeat twice. His fight requires massively high level cards, and there's almost no point even trying until you have at least one or two on your team. Personally I can't say if the bosses after him are as difficult. I've unfortunately been stuck on Jamil's fight for over a week now. As far as tips for beating the fights, that's a bit difficult. Timing the elemental reactions correctly can be difficult without knowing which element will be used next. However, it's a good idea to level up attack cards. Leveling up the spell levels, having exactly the elements you'll need, and groovifying cards can also be helpful. But, those are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I just wanted to talk about this because many people were saying Jamil's boss fight was incredibly difficult. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!

It's time for an L appreciation post! Many long time readers of this blog may know that L is my favorite Death Note character, but he's also one of my all time favorite anime characters! Why is this? Well, I'll tell you! L is intelligent, cool, mostly level-headed, and he can actually be very kind. He's a bit awkward, unaware, and clumsy too; but that just adds to his charm. L is also very similar to myself. We share mannerisms, personality traits, and we have a similar lack of social understanding. Although we aren't identical to each other, we come relatively close. Mostly. Part of the reason I like him is because we're very similar, but also very different. It's a unique feeling that doesn't come often with other characters, regardless if they come from anime or not. I was actually rather shocked the first time I watched Death Note because I had never seen a character I related with so heavily before. L is pretty important to me, for obvious reasons. Which is why I'm making an appreciation post! And for those of you wondering if we also look alike, I'll never tell! I'll leave that up for you all to decide! The fun of not knowing is drawing your own conclusions! I hope you all enjoyed this post! Have a picture of L! Enjoy!
