Why isn't Pokemon Go as popular anymore? Well, that's what I'll be talking about in today's blog post! Everyone remembers the summer of Pokemon Go. Tons of Pokemon fans new and old rushed to the streets to capture their favorite Pokemon. It was a new game, unlike anything else. This game was the closest we had ever gotten to making Pokemon a reality. The hype eventually died down after a while, but it was still popular. And then, everyone had to stay inside. No one could go outside to play Pokemon Go, so the development team made it so people could play from their houses instead. As restrictions were lifted, these features were gradually taken away. Since Pokemon Go was originally made to encourage players to go outside, this made perfect sense. However, the fans weren't having it. The removal of the new features chased fans away, and the game's player base hasn't recovered since. Although I understand why the features were removed, I think there should be a balance so everyone can enjoy the game. Pokemon Go could also use more player customization features for better immersion, and different Pokemon should be more easily accessible instead of being stuck in places some players can't get to at all. But, these are mostly just my thoughts on this topic. I just wanted to talk about this because the amount of Pokemon Go ads recently has skyrocketed to help the game spread again. Nonetheless, I hope you all still enjoyed this blog post!
