It's post time! For today's blog post, I will be talking about one of the most underrated characters in Death Note: Touta Matsuda. Matsuda is an often overlooked and underappreciated character. When the two main characters are basically geniuses, it's easy to forget that other characters are smart too. That's where Matsuda comes in. Matsuda, although not a genius, is still a smart guy. He's around the same age as Light and L, making him the youngest member of the police force. Despite this, he's still willing to take risks and put everything on the line for the sake of the case. He can easily carry out the orders given to him by L, and he has no trouble keeping up with everyone. Even when left on his own, Matsuda is still shown to be quite capable. However, he isn't very popular within the series or the fandom. That's why I think Matsuda is very underrated. He's actually a really good character who just gets overshadowed by everyone else.
